There are a lot of guidelines to posting on this forum, perhaps have a look at the top for the thread. Maybe you missed one? Maybe it was an accident? Are you trying to sell something? Hmmm.. I don't know.. I've seen a lot of threads deleted but they were always trying to sell something. |

Thanks for the tip, PhoebesMeow.
I don't think I broke any of the guidelines in asking my question. Hopefully someone will tell me if I did so I don't make that mistake again (if there was one)!
Blessings,

Hi Shawna - I don't recall deleting anything on that topic. It would not have been deleted unless it was actually trying to sell something or was in some way offensive. If there was a link in the post then it would have been blocked as Magda indicated. If that is the case then please repost without the link. |

Thanks, ladies! Well it looks like I didn't do anything inappropriate (like what you mentioned) so it remains a mystery.
I am bringing back an older post that someone else authored on the same subject to get some more opinions.

Shawna,
How's it going? Did the no-water-before-bedtime trick work? I read it in an online skincare book, and tried out myself, and it worked on me... I noticed that your posting was deleted, too--but I wanted to check up on you, glad I found you!
yours in unpuffiness,

Is it so that the entire post is deleted if somene puts a commercial link etc in it? In that case, wouldn't it be better if just the one comment could be removed? (i am still looking for the Cellulite quick fix post that seems to be gone - maybe i'm blind...) |

No, the thread is deleted if the initial post has advertising and there are no replies. Individual replies are deleted if they are spam.
There are a number of cellulite threads from the last month or so. If you do a search for cellulite you should be able to find it. HTH If you have any problems then please let me know. Btw, there was a thread about a cellulite product recently which was deleted after I found out that the people in the thread were posting from the same address. If that is the one you are referring to then it's gone as it was not legit and I tend to check for any iffy posts in which people try to hype up a product as a way of advertising. |

Ok, I remember this thread and I'm looking into this. It might be a slight technical problem... I'll get back to you. |

Avalange,
I think that the no water before bed trick is working! There have been a few nights where I have slipped up, though. It can be hard to do considering I have trained myself to drink 20 to 25 ounces of water each night before bed. Just gotta form a new habit!
I also tried the Avon eye cream for a few days and saw my puffiness exacerbated, so I went back to the Juvena eye serum. The only problem with that stuff is that my fine lines seem to show more. Yeesh, this is getting involved. I am still interested in the one you recommended. What was it again? Also, does it address both puffiness and fine lines?
Thanks for your suggestions!

Puffiness is a problem for me as well : Eve Lom's eye gel helped a lot but it wasn't moisturizing enough for my eye area. my new treatment (z.bigatti) doesn't really help against puffy eyes (however quite moisturizing - well, nothing's perfect...). I also read this "no drinking before bed" formula - I tried and it really helps. I try not to drink ca. 3 hours before going to sleep. |

Osea's Eyes and Lips is very good--DEF helps with fine lines, but is also tonigng and firming, thus it helps with puffiness. I noticed that it helps, but not immediately--if I used it, then went and worked out, and then used it again--voila, they are gone. It is not specifically targeted for getting rid of puffiness, I think.
But controlling allergies and working out and not drinking water before bedtime helped the most--therefore, lifestyle changes make the biggest difference. Which means, incidentally, that if you get the puffiness under control, then you will be worrying about fine lines, which are easier to correct with topicals (retinoids seem to make the biggest diff for me).
I am curious if anyone has had really good results with PSF's Cranberry undereye gel as well--it claims that it cures puffiness. |

Here is the Osea pitch for Eyes and Lips
Benefits/ Features:
Rich in Vitamins A, D and E, 100% natural Eyes and Lips utilizes the properties of powerful antioxidants to restore damaged skin while fighting free radicals. DPHP, a vegetable-derived amino acid stimulates the contraction of collagen fibers and strengthens the dermal connective tissue of the skin. Proven to be more than 65% more effective than Vitamin C, DPHP is an ideal ingredient to tone and firm the delicate skin around the eyes - known to show first signs of damage and aging. Osea's patent-pending, unique triple emulsion system supports the skin with an advanced level of hydration.
Ingredients: 100% Natural. Water, Coco Caprylate/Caprate [Vegetable Glycerides], Squalane, Glycerin, Sorbitan Oliveate [Corn and Olive Oil Glycerides], Cetearyl Glucoside [Glucolipid from Corn and Coconut Oil], DPHP [Lipo Amino Acid from Palmitic Acid and Hydroxy Proline], Macadamia Nut Oil, Avocado Oil, Algae Extract, Calendula Extract, Cucumber Extract, Capryloyl Glycin [Plant Lipo Amino Acid], Tocopheryl Acetate [Vitamin E], Grapefruit Seed Extract, Glyceryl Stearate [Ester of Glycerin and Vegetable-based Stearic Acid], Undercylenoyl Glycin [Plant Lipo Amino Acid], Carrageenan [Red Seaweed Extract], L-Lysine Laurolymethionin [Plant Lipo Amino Acid], Retinyl Palmitate and Ergocalciferol [Vitamins A and D], Hydroxyethylcellulose

This just happened to the "cellulite" thread that Smoothskin started as well. I pm'd Casper's Mum and she was baffled by it too. I wonder if the forum is being messed with by hackers! |

No, hackers were not taking a part in Cellulite quick fix mystery
The missing thread has been found! It was orphaned in our database for some reason.

Hi,
I would say that Osea is a maintenance product rather than a fix-it product--the most dramatic results I've had are with a retinoid night cream for reduction of fine lines... but they seem to come right back if I stay out all night in a smoky bar, or don't drink enough water. I apply the Osea throughout the day, and it really helps to firm, tone, and moisturize the area, and leaves it with a silky sheen--but that should not be interpreted as greasy. It is not oily or greasy at all. I like it as a 'during-the-day' product because it looks so elegant on the skin--it truly is one of those products that make you feel beautiful (and that definitely makes your fine lines less visible) after you put it on. But will it get rid of your wrinkles? only temporarily, like anything else. |
