I am in the process of formulating a skin lotion especially for men's sensitive areas.
Most of the formulae I have found appear to be of natural ingredients that require refrigeration, and short shelf life.
Any info, or guidance will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Hoffie. |

'Sensitive areas', huh? What on the face? (sorry couldn't help that )
I think you need to elaborate. What do you want the lotion to do? |

OK! What is meant by 'sensitive areas'?
A few sportsmen asked me about any creams/lotions that would allevaite 'jock itch', or as one wit described it 'bollock burn'.
So, the lotion would be used in the lower abdomen, or upper-inner thigh. Scrotum might be a better description.

I would think that a Calendula cream (think nappy rash cream even) would work for that... calendula is very soothing for chaffing and irritation and I would think it would not, um, burn senstive bits (just dont add menthol )
You can get some good ones from Weleda and Jurlique if you are having trouble tweaking a formula.
If you are after something to use also while playing sport or something (that would prevent it) there is an Aussie product called "papaw ointment" (it is like a salve) that is EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT for this. |
