Do I need to put it all over my face, or just parts?

I put my DIY Vitamin C serum all over my face...even the eye area (lids and underneath)! Works great, and I haven't had any problems with sensitivity...but others may be different...
Hope this helps some!

Hi. I put mine all over also, and even put a drop of two on my chest. (not my breasts, my chest) I thought it may help with uneven skin texture. |

I apply it all over my face, down my neck and over the top of my chest (where you get that "v" from catching sun while wearing a vest top ). I put about 4 drops on the back of my hand, which covers that whole area, then I rub the backs of my hands together to get some vitamin C on there too. |

I guess I even go a little further; I put it on the exposed areas of my arms. Long sleeves that day, I don't. I just go by whatever sleeve length I wear that day. If it gets light, it gets Vit. C |

wow Fifi! I would go broke from buying so much vit C! But you are probably right though. I should use more. Maybe I should you a DIY receipe for the C. Would it be strong enough??
TIA |

That's a good idea, I don't know why I never thought of it before. The forearms tend to get so much sun exposure without you ever realising it! |

It's not really so much, a little goes a very long way. I've been using the same bottle for several months now and still have a lot left. I've never done the diy serum (too lazy ), but I think if you follow Carekate's recipe you should end up with about 12%, which is a nice concentration to start with. |

Ooooh, I must start putting some on the backs of my hands. Now why didn't I think of that! |

Do you guys put the Vit. C on right after you cleanse and tone, or do you put it on after something else? I'm trying to figure how to add it to my regimen... |

I out it all overr my face, eyelids and under included, on my hands and up my arms a ways and all over my neck and chest.. I've been thinking about even doing my feet... I use Carekate's recipe as well.. Only way I could go so crazy using it..
You use it right after cleansing and toning if you do that.. Always before anything else... |

Hi ErinChristine!
I just made my first batch of DIY Vitamin C serum, and had also wondered whether it would be strong enough. I found a post here (pretty sure it was carekate...lost the link!) that said you could up the concentration of the DIY serum to 20% by using 1/3 tsp. of Vit-C crystals instead of the 1/4 tsp. in the basic recipe (which is the 12%). So far, it's working great!

Not if you make it yourself! That's the way to go. |
