I am a monther of two, 32, normal/dry skin type, fair copmplexion and have used Clinique 3 step skin care for several years.

Its not working for me anymore so I tried Dermalogica and my face was tight and very dry. Went to the Lancome counter and a very helpful consultant gave me some skin care samples to try. First day using it and I was a bit itchy out of the shower and after moisturizing I felt tight and dry again.

Then I heard about a new mineral skin care product called Scosh.

Any suggetsions on what to try? I have a closet full of unsuccessful product and am tired of spending the money. I need to find a skin care regime that I can buy anywhere and is quick to do in the am.

I could use anyone's advice at this point.

Jennifer,

I would suggest that instead of buying new products 'blind' you get some samples of stuff first and see what makes your skin happy. If your skin is very dry you might want to perhaps try something along the lines of a B5 hydrating gel under your moisturiser or some of the Decleor oils. Orlane also makes some nice stuff for dry skin. I'm sure people on the forum will be able to suggest products for you. You can then order samples of them from EDS before you commit to buying the fullsize.

Mabsy.

ps. My mum has very dry skin and she loves Orlane Super Moisturizing Concentrate.

You know, sometimes I think it would be cool if people posted their skin type and daily "program"... as guideposts on the sometimes treacherous road of skincare!

Hi Jennifer.

Several people lately have mentioned that Clinique just isn't working for them anymore. Coincidence? Or maybe Clinique changed it's formulas.

It could also be that the stress of motherhood and/or 30-something hormone changes have altered your skin type.

I agree with Mabsy's recommendation of Orlane and Decleor. These are my favorite lines, and my age and skin type are similar to yours.

I think that's an excellent idea. Many times since joining this forum I've wished for a quick reference like that, because it would help when deciding whether or not a raved-about product would be good for my skin type.

So I'm going to start a thread in the Product Review Forum. Hopefully, people will contribute. Wink
