I've been on a balm kick as of late, for going plumpers, gloss and lipsticks last winter. I have developed a sensitivity to chemical sunscreens so my old staple, Blistex Herbal Answer in the tube is out.
This Labello balm is whitish going on but my lips are pigmented so it tones them down a bit which is nice. It's soothing and lightly scented/flavoured with vanilla. The scent/taste isn't overwhelming at all. From the list of ingredients I can't see any mineral oil/vaseline. Also, it's not tingling, no mint or camphor.
It soothes and keeps my lips moist and comfortable all day long. I think it was about $3 at Wal-Mart, which is the only store I can find it in so far.
Ingredients:
Octyldodecanol, C18-38 Alkyl Hydroxystearol Stearate, Castor Seed Oil, Caprylic Triglyceride, Glycerin, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Panthenol, Water, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Shea Butter Fruit, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Calcium Panthothenate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bisabolol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate, C20-40 Alkyl Stearate, Beeswax, Magnesium Stearate, Magnesium Sulfate, Mica, Soybean Oil, Glycerul Stearate, Glyceryl Oleate, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Titanium Dioxdie. |

I only like the Labello that comes in the pink tube. That one gives me a hint of colour which is nice. I was disappointed in the other Labello lip balms that I've tried (I tried the shimmery ones and the yellow tube one with the SPF). I haven't tried the one that you recommended though. I have a feeling that the whitish colour that you mentioned would stay on my lips. |

It does leave a slight white film if you put on a lot, a light coating though doesn't. It's so not waxy like the Labello stick I have. I've found it Shopper's Drug Mart now as well, I see in the latest flier Labello balms are on for $1.99 Sunday only, I'm hoping SOS is on so I can stock up. If you pick it up on sale and don't like it, you are only out a couple of bucks. I'm pretty sure it was $3 or more at Wal-Mart. |

My favorite is the Labello Hydro Care. It's amazing. very light, very moisturizing, gives a slight sheen but isn't sticky |
