After long and hard consideration (with some advice from Mary and Janis), I decided to get a microderm. before I got it done, I was really worried that I would get scarring badly because unfortunately my skin is just prone to scarring like that.
After the procedure, I must say that I am very ahppy with the result. Granted that my scars are still there (the esthetician said I need about 4 treatments before my scars go away), I love how my skin peel. The extra scarring that I was afraid might come up did not appear at all. Love it, love it, love it.
Mary H, Janis: Is 7 days between treatment okay? I have this party that I am gonna go to in the beginning of June and I want to get as many microderm as possible.

Hey roadtonowhere!
So glad to hear that your experience was a positive one! From what I recall from my days at the derms office (and friends who currently do professional microderms...I'm in DIY mode right now with my little home unit), once a week is just about right. So, I'd go ahead with another one as soon as you can...and enjoy your upcoming party!
Cheers back at you!

Interesting. My esthetician seems to think 2-3 weeks between microderms is the way to go, but that could be an individual suggestion based on my skin type. I don't think it could hurt to get them about one week apart, though... if that's what your esthetician says. I'm sure she knows what she's doing. |
