I bought this cleanser after some positive reviews here and never regretted it. I love it.
Texture: Primavera cleanser is a liquid with a creamy texture. They say dilute with water, but I found it's not necessary because it would be too runny; DHCC is a paste, so should be diluted with water.
Effectivness with removing blakcheads: it looks like they do the same job. I put both cleansers on different sides of my face, and didn't notice any difference after washing them off.
What I found better about Primavera that it somehow calms down my skin, so I can see a really less redness on my cheeks after using it. DHCC didn't do this to me.
Price: DHCC is 50 ml tube($19), and it lasts 1 month for me; Primavera is 100 ml bottle($37), and it looks like it'll be enough for 3 months.
The only thing I don't like about Primavera cleanser is the pump. It's plastic with some yellow coating that make the pump looks like a metal one, but after 1-2 weeks of usage the coating was partially gone.

I too am in love, love, love with Primavera's Refining Exfoliating Cleanser. I have been using it now for about 2 years and can't say enough about it. The texture, the scent, the results - all fantastic. I also alternate with Dr H's cleansing cream and though I love both very much, I prefer Primavera's for daily use because I find it gentler, more soothing and I just adore the way my skin feels afterwards. I find I'll switch to Dr H's CC when I feel my skin needs a more thorough cleansing or shall we say "pick me up" as I find it a more intense treatment. I use it as a mask as well as a cleanser and it works great that way. I've tried doing the same with the Primavera exfoliating cleanser but it doesn't work as well as a mask, however, the results are amazing nonetheless. I'd like to add that the cleansing milk is a great night cleanser and makeup remover. I jsut wish EDS would carry this line so I can do all my shopping on one site. |

How well does it exfoliate? I found DHCC doesn't exfoliate enough for me. How does it compare to Dermalogica's Microfoliant (in terms of exfoliation abilities)?
Thanks |

I would say it's a gentle exfoliator, great for daily use. I haven't tried Dermalogica's Microfoliant so I can't really compare.
Here's a description and ingredient list from Saffron Rouge. Hopefully this will help. I'm also including the link to the product specific page for more info if anyone is interested.
"Natural Balance Refining Exfoliating Cleanser is a mild sugar-based cleanser that cleans and exfoliates the skin. Non-abrasive beads of Jojoba wax gently remove dead cells, revealing younger, smoother, more radiant skin. Rich organic plant oils infuse the skin with moisture and impart a natural glow.

I also use this product and LOVE it. It is gentler than the Derm daily in terms of how it feels. It does not make your skin feel tight or rough. Just smooth. The sugar extract seems to work for my skin even better than Dr H and it does not leave a film on the skin. |

the cleansing milk with Primivera in my opinion removes makeup etc better than Dr H only one pump is needed and I feel that you get a cleaner feeling and the bottle is larger. Dr H products are great especially the toner although I like Primivera as well. This line has also kept the posion ivy from spreading on my face. The spots that I have are under control with the cleansing lotion and the toner |

I haven't really used the cleansing milk from DR H all that often - only 2 of the trial sizes. I find Primavera's to be more gentle and more effective at removing makeup. It also has a much nicer scent than the Dr H one. I too find that you don't require alot of the product, just a pump or two will do ya. I've noticed that after I wash my face with it, my skin feels softer, brighter and really fresh. Not to mention beautifully, naturally scented. |
