Hiya Gurls,
In my first few weeks of using CSRx Refinishing serum, my face stung a little, (nuthing bad) just small prickles like with the aspirin mask... I actually liked it coz I knew it was working deep down, and I saw no harsh results from it only soft dewy skin...
But now it's gone! Is that normal? Did my skin adjust? Is the product still working? (sorry being paranoid).
My skin looks normal, no breakouts, no redness... it's just that the stingyness is gone
My routine is:
AM:
gentle cleanser
CSrx vit c
CSrx Refinishing serum
Sunblock
PM:
gentle cleanser
HA serum
Retin A
It's not too much, is it? |

Yes, that is quite normal. This is your skin getting used to having a hich % AHA product applied and it basically adjusts after the first few uses. The product is still effective like it was when you stsrted.
Re: your routine. I'm hoping that someone who uses retin A will jump in here and help you out. I would tend to use the vit C serum in the morning and the AHA at night, but that would/might interfere with the retin A. I'm not so sure that you actually need both the retin A and the AHA serum. I'd be interested to find out what advice the "retin A" pros give for this |

I used MD Forte in the morning and retin-a at night for a long time and never had any problems. I don't use retin-a now, but only because I moved back to the UK a couple of years ago and haven't got round to working out how to get it here (not sure if our National Health Service will let you use it for anti-aging purposes!)
I wasn't using vitamin C at that time though, and I think now I would continue using vitamin C in the morning and alternate retin-a with a glycolic in the evening for the best results. A bit rambling, sorry, hope it helps! |

I use retin-a at night but have problems with Vit C so don't use that. If I did, I'd use it in the morning, alternating with AHA; or you could alternate the AHA with the retin at night. So long as your skin isn't getting red or irritated you can keep up with the various products as they all work differently. Just make sure you're using a good stable sunscreen everyday. |
