Hi everyone
Am new here and in need of a gentle gel/rinse off cleanser for the am and an excellent makeup remover/cleanser for the pm.
The can't have any SLS's and would prefer that are organic + very pleasant to use. Am currently using an oxygenating cleanser from Luzern Laboratories that i love but am in the mood for something new, luxurious and aromatherapeutic.
Aromatherapeutic but not overly scented. I look forward to all your suggestions |

Hi! If you are looking for something luxurious, relaxing, and aromatherapeutic, I would recommend Beauty Without Cruelty's Herbal Cream Cleanser. The texture is the most luxurious that I've found, and since it's forumlated with Oshadhi Organic Essential Oils it provides a really relaxing experience too. Another really nice-smelling and nice-feeling cleanser is Juice Beauty's Green Apple face wash. Also, while it won't remove make up, Dr. Hauschka's Cleansing Cream smells wonderful! (IMO) |

Alba Botanica and Earth Science are both very good. |

P.S. Non-organic recs are welcome as long as the products do not contain any SLS's |

What are SLS's? I was going to suggest Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel which I really like. It's not drying, no perfumes and seems to work really well. But I'm not sure if it doesn't have SLS (because I don't know what that means yet ) |

SLS is sodium lauryl sulfate - a surfacant in most gel cleansers + soaps + shampoos. There are several versions of it and 99% irritate my skin. |

Yeah, I just checked and the Special Cleansing Gel does contain SLS. I hope you can find something that will work for you! |

I'm voting for Caudalie Gentle Cleanser - quick scan of ingredients shows no SLS and it's a *lovely* cleansing lotion.
Also, check out the Cellcosmet cleansing gel. I have no ingredients list but it's a very nice cleanser. |

Mabsy,
I noticed you love cellcosmet cream cleanser - what is the scent like? we don't have cellcosmet in denmark . Are there any other amazing caudalie products?
organic pharmacy's carrot + rose cleansers have gotten positive reviews so I'm leaning towards them but I've been eyeing both valmont and cellcosmet.
I have sensitive combo-oily skin, so any recs you have of things that have amazed you and kept you coming back are greatly appreciated- |

tisa - the Cellcosmet has a very fainy rossey scent to it. I'll get back to you about the Caudalie products I've only used one in the past (eye cream) and didn't like it and I haven't tried anything other than that - that is until EDS started to stock it and I caved in. The Beauty Elixir is definitely worth it. I also have their foaming cleanser and one of their moisturisers for combo skin but I haven't tried them yet. The Beauty Elixir and the Cleansing Lotion are definitely repurchase items for me though! |

For the morning you simply CANNOT go past The Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Cleansing Gel. Not only does it have no nasties in it, but it is so gentle and soothing and leaves the skin feeling better than best.
Yea yea, I love the stuff.. here was my review. http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=12303&highlight=cellcosmet+gel
An excellent make-up remover that is also very gentle is the Cellcosmet purifying gel cleanser. It has some ingredients I would usually avoid, but SLS is not one of them. I reviewed it here. http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=12241&highlight=cellcosmet+gel
Pure Skin Forumulations also seem to make a popular cream wash off cleanser for evening with the Green Tea Cleanser |

tiger tim - i will take your advice and go with the OP rose gel for the am.
I'm using the Dr. H CC am + pm and find that my skin is beginning to shed a layer - revealing gorgeous new skin.
I was wondering if you've tried the OP Carrot cleanser - I have used both Eve Lom & Amanda Lacey and like this kind of deep cleansing + makeup removal in the pm. I am also wondering if this kind of deep cleansing balm combined with the Dr. H CC will produce debri-free pores or be too much deep cleansing?
- I am a cleanser fanatic and feel that it is a very important step and am trying to put together a routine that is effective but also enjoyable. |

oh gawd, yes, I am a cleanser freak too. Dr H. CC is on my list of prezzies from Germany!
I have not tried the OP carrot cleanser (though after summer I plan to try their travel set which as the carrot cleanser in it. Someone here raved for Neal's Yard Remedies rose balm cleanser (same kind of thing) and I am hoping someone can get me some as the pricin in Japan is outrageous. I want to try both of these as a replacement for the Eve Lom I recently ran out of.
Maybe you could alternate nights with the Dr. H. CC and one of these other deep cleansers? |

tiger tim - checked out the neals yard wild rose beauty balm cleanser and it's £22 for 40 grams - the organic pharmacy is only £19 for 60 ml from beautyexpert.co.uk and beauty expert has a return policy that is fab!
I will get the 2 organic pharmacy cleansers and give them a try.
I find the feeling the Dr. H CC leaves me with addictive .
Now my only dilemna is deciding on a moisturizer - am debating between the 2 serums available on skinactives - ELS (oil based with rosehip +olive + pomegranate seed oils + other actives) and MNS(water based serum with sea kelp bioferment and other actives) both can be mixed togther for more moisture.
Plus I found a aloe vera + rosewater + rosehip gel that looks wonderful. I did an experiment and mixed my velvet plush mineral makeup with decleors prolagene gel and got the most amazing liquid foundation that left me matte + oil free for the whole day (9 am-7pm)
This organic gel is also alot cheaper -100 ml for £5.70 (and it is can be custom made) vs 50 ml for £18.50.
Since discovering the EDS forum and mineral makeup - after having spent $100 on makeup that I can't use - I have to behave myself and save where I can. |
