This is a lash conditioning gel. First ingredient is Castor Oil (same as most other lash treatment products including the pricy Jan Marini Eye lash treatment which sells for over $100.00 cdn). Second ingredient is Horse Mane Tissue Extract. ANP is described as "internationally patented, this active substance is a concentrate of a natural complex of essential fatty acids (tricholipids). It stimulates the production of Keratin in the nail matrix and in eyelashes and eyebrows. Also known as horses' mane extract." (From the package insert)
This does not IMO grow lashes. However, it does condition them and helps keep lash breakage to a minimum. I tint my lashes on a regular basis so I think mine are drier and they were breaking more. I have been using this for about 3 months and I am about to purchase another tube. My lashes appear darker and glossier when I have this on. I also use this on my brows when I think of it.
I paid $20.99 cdn at SDM. This product is actually in the nail treatment section. It is a good alternative for Canadians who do not have access to the wonderful, cheap Ardell lash products. Also there is other pricy lash treatments available on-line but I prefer to buy from a store whenever possible.
Mine ingredients are castor oil; ANP (horse mane extract); silica;then fragrance; then it looks like preservatives. |

Does anyone know what horse mane tissue extract really is? Does it come from the hair only? I'm hoping it's just a by-product of horse grooming and not something more nepharious... Couldn't bring myself to use it no matter how gorgeous the results. |

Am told by someone on MUA that the horse mane tissue extract don't come from the hairs, my dear. "Mr. Ed" isn't alive when they harvest that stuff! |
