Hi Guys,
I'm currently using PSF Emergen C serum for about two days. I feel that it is quite moisturizing and takes a while to dry. (I put 2 1/2 drops for whole face) But then it doesnt dry totally, still kind of icky dewy. But I prefer it to dry matte. I dont even need to apply a moisturizer lately. And I use the Shiseido Liquid Foundation w/SPF42 and it supposedly is to be very drying however my skin gets oily later on the day. Is it becuz of the Vitamin C serum? Should I use less but then tahts the amount necessary to use on my whole face. I'm confused, I like the matte look, a little dewy but somehow its the dirty lookin one. I hate the oilyies on the nose because I have a bigger nose. I hate it when someone looks at me and just sees their reflection of their face off my nose. It isnt too bad but still, I like the semi matte look, especially around my nose!!.. LOL |

I am using psf 20% and it made me oily too. Granted I already have oily skin, but it made it worse. I still use it, because I love it, but now I use Decleor ylang ylang oil and lotion over it and haven't had super oily skin in about two weeks, and it dosen't come out later on either. HTH

I used the 12% and it made my skin feel quite greasy. I think it is the formulation of the product that makes it thicker.
I'm having better results with the Henry Tianus and Skinceuticals 20% serums, doesn't cause any extra greasiness. |

I'm currently trying the PSF 20% and loving it. I have normal skin and this doesn't make me more oily at all. If you do prefer a more watery texture that feels like you don't have any vit C serum on your face then two that I have tried that are like this are the Cellex-C and the Skinceuticals (the standard C serums, not the ones with addition of vit E etc). |

Mabsy - How are the results of PSF 20%C compared to other C that you tried? I am using Skinceuticals currently but like to know if PSF 20% would give the same or better results. Have you tried Jan Marini C-esta? PSF and C-esta are the two that I am want to try next.
Thanks. |

It's very hard to compare as the results are never really immediate and I have only been using it for a week or so. I am happy with the texture and my skin hasn't gotten duller so I'm just going to keep going and see what happens.
re: JM C-esta. I think I have their serum but it's the oil control one. It's ok - not my favorite. JM doesn't have the most effective of serums but they are good for ppl with sensitive skin. If you don't have sensitive skin then go with a serum based on l-ascorbic acid.... |

How much did you put on that were too much? I have combo/oily skin so if it's oily then it's not for me. |

It was about the size of 10p piece, after reading these posts you only need 2-3 drops, but after I had put it on I could see it like dots on my nose sitting on top, my face seemed to get more oily in the day too, won't be a repurchase for me, but very popular for some |

I'm surprised to hear that PSF is making so many people oily! I have oily skin and I use the 12% with no problems. I put 4 drops total for my whole face, using a combination of gentle rubbing and patting. It is still slightly tacky after letting it sit, but it's fine once I brush on my mineral makeup. Even when I use a moisturizer w/sunscreen over top of the C I don't have oily issues.
I naturally have to powder once throughout the day to combat my normal oil breakthrough, but that's it. |

THanks everyone! I try putting only one drop for the whole face. It works, but I'm not sure if that is enough product to see any difference? I'm using the 12%. |
