DOs:
-Herbal organic extracts
-Vitamin E
-Anti-oxidants
-DMAE
-Something to tighten pores
-B5 would welcome but not needed
-Hyaluronic Acid would be welcome too
DONTs:
-Non-comedogenic
-Alcohol-free
-Perfume-free (herbal natural scents are acceptable)
The toner is to be used twice daily, sometimes after shaving with an electric razor.
My face skin is combination of normal and oily T zone. I could use two products, but I would prefer only one. I definitely DONT want to use a separate product for the days I shave.
I prefer lotion or gel (no cream or spray) and it must not make the skin shiny.
Some of the products I'm considering are:
-PSF Firming Facial Toner OR R&R Toning Mist
-Eminence Organics Stone Crop Hydrating Mist OR Rose Hip Tonique
-MD Formulations Moisture Defense Antioxidant Rehydrating Spray
-Avalon Organics Hydrating Toner OR Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner
-Cellex-C Sun Rescue Gel (this would work great IMO)
-JASON Red Elements Calming Toner
-NV Perricone Firming Facial Toner
Lastly, I plan to finish with a moisturizer like HA/B5 (Cellex-C or Skinceuticals) or HA only... unless the toner gives me enough hydration.
All suggestions are welcome |

My recomendation:
PSF R&R Toning Mist + either PSF Moisture Balancing Lotion or PSF Perfecting Day Lotion. The Perfecting Day lotion has HA in it. Otherwise as you probably know PSF have a HA serum, haven't tried it myself but there are a few raves for it on here.
I think you'll have a hard time finding a Toner that moisturizes enough and you will need a moisturizer as well. These two suggestions are quick and easy and both creams sink in quickly without leaving any residue.
Does your skin get sensitive when you shave? Is that why you don't want to use a moisturizer on the days you shave? Or why?
Coz I would say that it is even more important to moisturize properly ON the days you shave - considering what one puts ones skin through when shaving.

OK, well you dont want a spray, but I see you have some mists on your list... the PSF ones are very popular (and cheap enough you could buy both)
3 others I would recommend looking at:
Caudalie Beauty Elixir
Caudalie Grape Water
Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist
They dont all fit perfectly into your requirements, but come close. The best way I find to apply spray ones is to spray into the palm and then pat on. |

I like the idea to use both PSF product (sort of the way Paula recommends for people with T zone problems), R&R Toning Mist everywhere + PSF Moisture Balancing Lotion on forehead and nose.
My skin is generally sensitive, but doesnt get extremely sensitive after shaving. I have already a moisturizer in gel form that I like "quite". Its made from an organic italian brand. When I finish it I want to try something else (with HA in it). I use it only the days that I shave. Alternatively I'm considering a moisturizing lotion or gel with SPF in it or a (natural) sunblock with hydrating agents. PSF natural sunblock gets my attention.
I'm also thinking to homebrew a very simple HA+DMAE+titanium oxide for moisturize and sunblock. I have a few weeks to decide |

Yes, I know but I put them in my list because expecially the MD and the PSF got excellent review and look good on the ingredients as well.
The reason I dont want a spray is that my eyes are VERY VERY sensitive. Someone experienced irritation with the MD spray. SO I would have to use it with a cottonpad (with quite some waste) or on hands like you say, which sounds better.
Thanks |

I spray/mist the R&R all over, have semi sensitive eyes and have no problems with this.
I've been useing Decleors toner for ages, and that one I apply the way Tiger Tim describes. But I must say that I find the PSF spray easy to distibute evenly, it's a good spray they've got on that one:)
Good luck and happy hunting for your products |

The PSF Firming toner is a spray/mist and isn't wiped off, but I have to put in a plug for it because it's a WOW for my skin (combined with the 02 Rescue spray). Just received it this week and notice quite a difference in how my skin looks during the day. Can't say it reduces pore size but it does firm and brighten. Tried the PSF R&R as well but the Firming gives my skin more of a boost. Depends really what your needs are and whether you can find everything in one product. |

Totally not what you are looking for but thought I would throw it in... my husband's skin was always very sensitive to shaving, but he is now totally addicted to using the Decleor Men's range. The Aromessence oil followed by the balm after shaving leaves his skin just glowing .. no razor burn, no oilies, just hydrated, lovely skin. |

I love my Dr. Hauschka facial toner. Non-alchoholic so it wont dry out my skin, and it sure tightens pores. |

I think you would love either toner from PSF, and for over, try Living Nature Flax Gel, product details follow:
Living Nature Hydrating Toning Gel
For all skin types. This gel refreshes, balances the skin and tightens pores. With Flax, rosehips, St. john's wort, honey and grapefruit it balances pH, helps ease dehydration lines and red veins. Guranteed fresh.
Men, esp. those with oilier skin, LOVE this product, and it is so cheap--$7.95 for 1.7 fl. oz.

OMG!! Living nature!!
I used a small bottle of the gel before, I didn't *really* like it because it made my skin feel a bit taut after it dried.
First you will laugh, because I'm a girl and I've used my bf's Living Nature Aftershave balm/serum thing.. because I desperately needed a moisturiser after washing my face with soap!!
The aftershave balm has a lot of seaweed extract in it, the first ingredient on the list.. so could be a nice moisture boosting serum. |

dear miranets,
i've never tried the male line, but the non-male line is excellent, in my opinion--one of the best natural skincare regimens out there, and very good for rosacea or acneic skins. My boyfriend could never get enough of the flax gel, since he claims that men just don't like moisturizers, they enjoy 'toning' products... go figure!
anyways, i'm surprised more people don't use these products!

The PSF toners are really good, but another all-time fave of mine is Avalon Organics CoQ10 Perfecting Toner. It's made with white wea, and it never stings, no matter what I've done to my skin.^-^ (Although for the record I've been eyeing that Juice Beauty toner for a while, so I'll prolly cave and buy it sonner or later...) |
