Hi everyone, I'm an african american man, who shaves my face every once an a while. The problem is that I've developed a shadow I want to really get rid of it. I'm of light brown to brown complexion.
I was wondering if there were any skin lightners that could lighten or eventually fade away my shadow? It isn't really that dark at all, but it is noticable and its much darker than the rest of my skin on my face, thus creating a like a line thats darker than the rest of my skin.
I'm also considering wanting to get a skin lighter for the rest of my body, because half of my body is really really light and the other half is dark, I'm not looking to have white skin, but to even out my tone with my face, because my face is light.
I would appericate if anyone could help me or direct me to any good products that I can use. Make sure you all let me know if they're also safe to use.
Thank you all, Joe |

Hello,
I've been obsessed with lightening products for the last couple of years. It sounds like you just need something mild for a large area. Recently someone here posted about a "lighter skin" message board. Most of the people are Indian (East, not native) and they recommended a product called Vicco Tumeric cream. It doesn't claim to whiten as much as return the skin to it's original color. I just picked some up at an Indian Grocery Store and it was only $4.50! It smells of sandalwood but it seems to brighten the skin. I just got it yesterday so I can't tell you for sure, but I only put it on one hand and it did seem lighter. The other product they recommended on the message board was Healing Inn. I believe the website went down but I got some on eBay for about $20. It's nice to find something simple after spending thousands of dollars in treatments and creams! |
