I got a sample of this to try today (spurred on by hopes of almond-induced lightening), and have no clue if I'm doing it right. I'm pressing it on and then kind of lifting my fingers off with a bit of a twist? It feels kind of weird, like I should be rubbing a bit more, but I know that's not the case. Any application tips would be gratefully received.
Also - how long does it take to get used to the smell? I've never used skincare that smells of beer before! |

not sure about the twist. I simply press my palms on my face and lift (I think Clarins instructions for using their cleansing milk are similar, they just don't call it 'pressing and rolling') Soon the cream will thicken and you get more suction from the press and roll motion.
God I'm so not good at explaining. Did you get that though? |

It seems you are doing it right. You dont want to be scrubbing it all over your face. What you want to do is gently press with your fingers or palm and gently roll. Much like you are pressing and rolling a stamp.
I just got the Dr. H cleansing Milk and am wondering if i use the same pressing and rolling technique with the Milk? |

yeah just press and roll gently.. Dont scrub.. AS for the smell.. I noticed that it smells alot like beer in the little samples they send you but in the original size ones smell alittle like beer but to me it doesnt.. Im not sure if its because of using the sample for a week i got used to it but im sure its not that.. Because everytime i used the trial sample one it always smelled like beer.. The biggers one don't... |

FYI: The cleansing milk is used like a normal cleansing milk. Massaged onto damp skin and either rinsed off or wiped off. HTH |

Thanks everyone! I think I've got the hang of it, it'll just take a while for it to feel natural. I used Clarins years ago, and remember those instructions now I come to think of it, will try the palm technique too. |

WOW is all I can say right now. I have been using DHCC for about a month, and only this morning did I finally try the pressing technique and i could not believe the suction! It actually pulled some blackheads right out! I was thrilled!!! This product is definitely a keeper! |

just think of using your fingers & palms as suction cups all over your face...and you don't have to press hard at all. |

I know that there is a link on the forum to a video of the technique (on the uk Dr H website), but whenever I click on it, there is no video to be found... I feel like I searched the entire internet looking for some visual guide to this press & roll technique... Can anyone help?
Also, I tried a sample for the 1st time last night, and I switched to using a wet muslin cloth instead of my hands at one point to press/apply the product.... is that ok? I feel that so much of the results of this product depends on the application, i'm afraid to mess it up! |

I don't think that video is on the website any more - I certainly haven't found it! |

I've got a tube of DHCC but every time I use it I seem to get one or two pimples which rarely happens with my other cleansers, so I put it away again. Is this normal purging and I should keep using it? |
