Hello All
I know we have all talked about mineral make up and I did search through the posts, but decided to specifically post this question. I went to the derm yesterday and he "HIGHLY" recommends the Glo Mineral make up. It is a mineral based product, with lots of "benefits" he says. He wanted me to purchase and start using right their and then. I said, "no". I wanted to consult with the experts here on this site first!. Anyone use the Glo Minerals? Can you give me specifics to the likes and/or dislikes?
Thanks in advance |

I've never tried it because it contains Bismuth Oxy(something) that makes me itchy. The liquid doesn't contain bismuth but I hear it's harder to apply than a regular liquid because it dried super quick.
I prefer the brands sold by small retailers such as pure luxe because they don't contain fillers and are less costly. Hope that helps... |

I really like glominerals - very good coverage from the pressed powder and not drying. I used to use jane iredale but the glo color choices are a better match for my skin. See if you can get a little sample and that can help you decide. |

I have not tried glo minerals, but you could call your dermatologist back and ask about everyday minerals. It's a small company which isn't very well known about so he may not have heard of it. However, I too go to the dermatologist for my skin and I think everyday minerals works wonderfully. I had fairly bad acne and this makeup combined with my medication has done wonders for clearing it up. I know everyone has different opinions but you can get a sample of 3 foundation colors for around 3.50 on their website to find out for yourself. And they are incredibly prompt with orders. Their ingredients compare to many other mineral companies (without the bismuth) and they are very affordable. |

I bought the GloMinerals liquid foundation. Very good but a little bit too much coverage for me (I like quite minimal coverage) so I mix this with a moisturiser before applying. By itself it's a bit hard to blend as well and you have to work fairly quickly. I've tried samples of their powders and these seemed comparable to Jane Iredale (which is my fave). |

hi anbloom
thanks for the mention of Everyday Minerals. I looked up there site, but I am confused because you said their products do not contain Bismuth Oxy. But it does. These are the incredients.
Sheer Cover Ingredients
Sheer Cover Mineral Foundation
Titanium Dioxide, Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica, Methylparaben, Trisodium EDTA, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine
I know from using Bare Est. that the mica and bismuth oxy reaks havoc on my skin. |

I'm currently using their pressed powder foundation - I apply it with a kabuki brush.
I don't know the ingredients, but it covers my red rosacea patch on my cheek, and you only need very little product.
I'm pretyt amazed by it because it doesn't feel or look like you have much make up. Also, the makeup has anti-inflammatory properties, so even supposedly the most sensitive of skins can use it. I love the powder, and have not tried their liquid foundation.
I was told by the medical asthecian (sp??) that the makeup sits on the skin like fish scales, so the skin actually gets to breathe.
I haven't had any problems with this product thus far. I believe it has SPF 30 in it as well. |

I love the glominerals bronzer. I have dry skin and some powdered makeup tend to irritate my face. Glominerals, as a lighter facial powder bronzer, does not irritate my skin, gives me a nice glow, looks natural and feels comfortable all day. |

Just noticed bergquis's reply sorry it took so long but I do want to respond about Everyday Minerals not having Bismuth. If you go to
http://www.everydayminerals.com/ingredients.html
you will see Everyday Minerals ingredients, below this is the ingredients to Bare Escentuals and Sheer Cover. Sheer Cover is another company that they are comparing to, not a product that Everyday Minerals sells. This is what is in Everyday Minerals
Mineral Makeup (Foundation)
Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Zinc Oxide
Finishing Dust
Zea Mays (usp Corn Starch Modified), Iron Oxides
...Hope that clears up any confusion! |

I bought the pressed powder and use either a brush or the sponge applicator it came with. I actually really like this stuff. I have red blotchy rosecea type cheeks and even just brushing it on tones it down and makes it look nice. |
