This is a comparison between:
*Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Loose Powder
*Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Pressed Face Powder
Overall I prefered the Loose powder, I found I was able to get much more coverage and I liked the fact I could use it effectively as a concealer too.
The pressed I felt did not do anything, it works well as a finnishing powder and that's about it. I did expect both these powders to perform the same so I was a little disapointed in the pressed.
I used my Jane Iredale Handi Brush for application. |

Could you give some tips for applying the loose powder? I still have not been able to get the right coverage. I think I apply too much. |

I use 2 Brushes, The Jane Iredale Handi and the MAC 242 which I use as a concealer brush.
First I lightly swirl the Handi in the powder, then shake off and slowly swirl onto my face, I concentrate on small areas at a time and build up the colour as a go along. I have noticed that when I have finnished I have used quite a bit of powder.
For blemishes I then use my concealer brush to apply some more of the powder directly.
I finnish by spritzing to set the powder. |

I had tried the pressed powder version ... I loved the idea of using a mineral product (although I don't think this is as true a mineral product as some others). However, the day I used it my face got all blotchy and felt alittle itchy. I had to return it. I thought the coverage was nice though. I really wanted to love it because the reviews had been really good on it. |

The pressed powder has kaolin in it, which drives my non-oily skin NUTS. Very drying. |
