I'm not sure if this apply to anyone else or just me. Everytime I change a brand of shampoo/conditioner, my hair response so postively... smooth and silky. However, after using it for a couple of weeks, my hair seem to get "bored" of the products and revert back to being dry and tangled. This cycle repeats itself when I change to another brand. This applies to my facial regime as well. Tried proactive, worked for me for the first 2 months...then it stopped... tried several other brands and the cycle repeats... I am just curious if anyone else experiencing this as well. |

Yes, I experience the exact same thing with MOST products (not all.. I have a few HGs). I buy a new hair conditioner every couple of days it seems. I mix of my skin products like nothing else. It is weird isn't it? |

I've noticed the same thing! I have three different shampoo and conditioners that I change off on each week. I thought I remembered reading in a magazine once that your hair doesn't get used to the same shampoo, but that's not what it seems from my experience. Maybe I notice the difference because one shampoo might be for volumizing and one for colour treated hair and so on.
As for the facial stuff, I've hardly ever been on any one routine for a long period that I never know. I'm always enticed by the latest and greatest. I am TRYING to stick to one set routine now and see how that goes (well, that is after I order some Juice Beauty products tonight and add them to my routine ) |

I agree with the haircare, my hair does look better when I constantly change products but when it comes to my skincare, it is more a case of I get bored with the same skincare regime but my skin looks better if I use the same products for long periods of time. |

I find that my skin builds resistance, especially with acne creams. They seem to work at first, then starts to loose its effectiveness, so I have to keep on investing in new products. |

That's the same situation for me. Wonder what we can do... all the different products are burning holes in my pocket... I have so many products sitting in my cupboard...half used... |

I always get through the first bottle/tub (unless it is something I end up hating then I give or throw it away).. but unless it has been a SUPER product I usually move on to something else.
I remember when I was a lass of 16 and at deportment school .. the woman taking us for skincare asked each of us what we were using and what we thought of it.. A couple of the girls had bad skin (congested) and they told her they were using X-brand (whatever it was) and they liked it and then she said somethgn that has stuck with me ever since (24 years is a long time for something to stick in the mind.. ).
She said: if you have been using a product for more than a month and you still have the same skin problem then it is obvious the product is not working and you need to move on. She then said that if nothing ever seemed to work it was time to look at what was going on inside the body rather than trying to fix from the outside. |

I think that is the most sensible and accurate statement I have ever read in relation to skin care. I now have a copy of it pinned up in my bathroom. |

I am a bit more generous.. I give things 2 months. |
