My lips look plump! Especially my puny top lip! This is crazy! I decided to try it one more time(after reading the reviews) and my lips immediately began to plump! I noticed that my lips are stinging and look a little red around my lip line. What can I do about this? Also, how long will the effect last? Any cumulative results over time? I also started taking HA(Hydraplenish) pills over a week ago. I'll try to post pics later.
Thanks! |

I am sad to report that my plump lasted only 20 mins! I wish my lips could look that that all the time... |

Maybe the plump is a gradual thing. I don't know The first time I put the BeautiFULL lips product on, it plumped a little. I don't know how long it lasted though. Then, 2 hrs later, I applied it again and my lips stung but did plump. You can see the pics under where Mabsy posted her 'lip experiment'. Just a little bit of insight.
You should post some pics so we all could see if we're getting 'normal' results lol. |

BCgirl,
it seems like the people who got them right away were in the north eastern states and they seem to be headed west.
also, ours will have to cross the border
so i'm not surprised that ours are taking a little longer, i wouldn't fret too much. |

well i recieved the beautifull lips and am not really impressed. I dont see any plumping but it gives my lips a red color. The red color lasts for about 15 mins. I dont think i will be repurchasing |

I got mine last week.
I've been applying and reapplying - doesn't look any different to me. It smells minty fresh, feels slick on the lips...but that's all I can tell.
I asked my husband today after applying. He didn't see any difference.
Mind you I have full lips, top and bottom, but nothing *more* happened. I want sex kitten lips a la Angelina!
I guess I should be thankful for mother nature blessed me with, because really, there isnt a problem with them but if it could be better, I'm all for it! |

puglove - are you getting the colour flush to your lips with this?
I'm starting to think that lip plumpers work differently for people because people have a different threshold to irritation. As far as I know, lip plumpers work by irritating the lips - though I'm not an expert on this topic obviously so please correct me if I'm wrong. So, people with very sensitive lips might blow up from a lip plumper whereas people with non-sensitive lips may not see much improvement. Does that make sense? Also, I wonder if after a while your lips get used to the irritation and the lip plumper stops working? I have only used the BeautifullLips once as I just don'd have a habit of using them and did see some results and I wonder if that would be consistent if I used it everyday. I remember using a (very nice btw) plumping lip balm from CSRx and it didn't do as much for me as the BeautiFull lips but it also felt very gentle.... |

FYI - there are two different types of lip plumpers: those that contain irritant ingredients (cinnamon, peppermint, clove, capsician which is cayenne pepper oil, etc.) and those which claim to stimulate collagen production.
The irritant lip plumpers will provide that immediate reaction of flushing of the lips and mild swelling (Mabsy's hypothesis regarding sensitivity and tolerance levels definitely makes sense) and the others claim to have a cummulative, permanent effect (which I personally do not believe whatsoever -- nothing is permanent! so long as you keep using the product you might maintain any results you achieved, but once you stop their gonna deflate back to their original state). |

No lip plumper will give you permanent results. I heard that many ppl have an allergic reaction to ingredients in lip plumpers and that's why their lips swell up for a little while. My friend who used city lips once got a major reaction from this product, her lips swelled up 10X it's size as if she got stung on the lips by a bee |

Hi Mabsy,
No..no colour at all! I do feel the minty feeling that accompanies the smell, but no change in size, no colour...but there is shine due to the composition of the product.
You know, the only time I saw my lips plump up so nicely was when I ate prawns. Yep. Thats right, prawns. I'm allergic. The effect was great but the itching was unbearable!!
I think you are right - these products will work differently on people. I hope other people have better results than I did! |

Wanted to put my vote/experience in on this product...I got in on the free offer a month or so ago.
I really like this plumper...it's the first one I've used consistently because I see results. My lips turn pink and fuller. It's a nice, very natural lip alone. I'm sure I will buy it.
Funny how the first couple of times I used it I didn't get any results...then wow-za.
I intend to send JB a note of thanks...but in case someone with them reads this...THANK YOU! |

You know, I faxed them the little survey that I got with it, giving it rave reviews (because I actually do like the product). It said they would email me a coupon for geez I don't even remember like 10 or 20% off my next order with them. I figured I would use it towards purchasing the Beautifull lips when the trial was gone.. however I never got the email from them. Strange. |
