Which shaving cream do you use (and like !) for legs, armpits, etc. ? Have you even found one which smells nicely and is tender to the skin? |

I usually just use Suave body wash as a shaving cream. It's thick and leaves my legs smooth. And it's cheap! (i go through a lot of shaving cream). Another good one is the Aveeno shaving gels/creams. They don't have a strong smell, which I like. Scented shaving creams usually break me out in little itchy red bumps, especially the Gillette ones. |

I use Kiss My Face shaving creams. They are so rich that after I started using them I stopped getting those darn red bumps! |

I use Aveeno. It has soy in it and it suppose to help make the hair grow in softer? Don't know about that, but it seems to have a great texture and make the hair softer, so it is easier to shave. |

I second bergquis... the Aveeno Shave Minimizing gel is my favorite. If you shave often, it does--after a while--make the hair grow slower. My brother swears by it for his face. Plus, it smells great! (If you like the Aveeno oatmealy-almondy scent). |

I like Gillette. It comes in a lot of nice scents and it lathers really well. |

I use skintimate as well.
Also, Alba Botanicals has one that smells pretty good - Coconut and lime, I think. It was a while ago that I used it. |

Trader Joe's has some AWESOME shave creams--very similar to the ALBA ones.
I have the mango one and I really love it, I get excema on my knees and ankles, and this not only doesn't trigger it, but actually seems to moisturize the area as well.
I also have a timy bottle of a shave oil, I do really like it, but it tends to clog the razor a bit it takes so little though, that I've had the bottle long enough for the name to wear off >.<
There's a recipe in the DIY thread for a shave oil that's probably better, as it doesn't seem like it'd be as thick and it's all natural and very moisturizing. Once I run out, I'm going to mix a batch of that to try. |

My SO bought some shaving gel from the Boots Botanics range and I decided to try that one morning when I was shaving my legs.
It is fabulous stuff and a tube will last you ages, it is not as messy as shaving cream and you get a really close shave.
MY SO who uses this on his face has sensitive skin and has never had any irritations with this. |

I've only really tried creams and foams since visiting EDS used to be a soap and water shaving girl - never going back to that!!!!
I've also only purchased mens line creams and foams...Decleor foam, smells delish and leaves smooth legs...haven't had any problems with my skin since useing this. I like MDFormulations shaving cream as well. Don't need much, gives a smooth shave and is unscented...also very good for my dry and sensitive legs... |

I used to always use Skintimate but about twice a year when Bath and Body Works has their big sale they carry the Foam Burst Body Wash. It comes in different scents like cucumber melon. It comes out like a gel but is very soft on the skin and very foamy. I love it for shaving my legs. Don't know why they don't carry it all of the time. It usually is at a real good sale price. |

I can't stand veet either.
There are a lot of suggestions and I'm going to try them (I guess I'm going to shave legs, etc. even more often in the future, in order to be able to try all those things . . .)
How did I survive without EDS before ? I cannot even shave my legs without EDS anymore ?! |

For legs I love Oil of Olay body wash (it's my all time fav body wash to begin with!). For more sensitive areas like underarms and bikini line, I use the shave minimizing gel by Aveeno. I don't worry about not getting the 'shave minimizing' effect on my legs because I use the Naturally Smooth lotion by Jergens every day after the shower (it really does help the hair grow back softer and more slowly).
I wonder what kind of razors every one uses? I was using the Mach 3 and decided to be crazy and try the FIVE BLADED Fusion. It's my new favorite! |

I've never found a depilatory cream that will actually remove my hair, and I've tried Veet, Nair, and a few others. They all irritate my skin a bit and leave tons of hair behind no matter how long I leave it on. |
