I was wondering where can I buy a Primer? I've never used one before and would like to try one, but I don't want to spend loads of money and not buy off the net.
Can any of you advise on a cheap one to try and see if I like the idea?
Also if you use a primer, do you still use a moisturiser? I usually just use my moistoriser before I put my foundation on. If I was going out during the day, I'd still use my SPF moistoriser I'm guessing.
Thanks

Mirenesse makes one and you can get them in selected salons. I don't know how good it is though as I haven't yet tried it (though I did buy it ). I have a feeling that the Body Shop has one as well ("face base"?) but I haven't tried it. I'd suggest that it goes over your moisturiser as the last step before foundation, but I am not 100% sure on this. Actually, I'd love for someone to clarify this (sorry to hijack ) as I plan on starting to use the Mirenesse soon. |

A lot people quite like the ModelCo primer. I personally haven't tried it, or the Mirenesse one, but I have been very pleased with all of the other Mirenesse products I've previously used...so I might give that one a try. The only primer I have used is the Napoleon Auto-pilot which I thought was very average and nothing special at all...but I've had the same problem with all Napoleon products I used so far
I don't bother using a primer anymore, but I used to use a mosturiser before my primer, and I'm pretty sure most people do. |

What exactly does a Primer do? I just assumed it sort of absorbed oils and stuff and made the foundation go on better and not absorb into the skin as much?
I remember years ago, because of my greasiness I was looking for something that didn't make me shine. I was in the chemist and she recommended this stuff, which I bought (and can't for the life of me remember the name) to use under make up. I'm certain it had some alcohol in it and some sort of powder or something that was suspended in it. I mean I had to shake it before I used it. When I'd put it on it'd take away the greasiness and leave my face matt. I really liked it, but only used the one bottle and like I said can't remember what it was. Not sure if it would be good for the skin though, sucking up the oil might only make it produce more?
When I say years ago, BTW, I mean like 1995!
