My feet are in need of TLC prior to full blown sandal season (soon approaching, if not already here for some parts of the continent, lucky you!!!)
I've read some rave reviews for a diamond file!?! I know there is Diamancel but that one is too high for my budget right now - does anyone know where I could get my hands on one of the knock off versions? I'm in Ontario, Canada so not sure where to look and don't know if there even available here!
P.s. I think the cheaper brands are Luxor and Ms. Pedicure |

Hi - I can't help you with your query directly - but when my feet get dry I use a rich cream on them at night and put loose fluffy socks over the top. In the morning they are lovely and smooth!

How about a pumice stone? I don't have calluses on my feet (chronic slipper wearer) so I just use a body scrub on mine because anything else is ouchy, and it seems to do the trick. I like any sort of grainy salt scrub. I also agree with what weaholt said-- body butter, then socks! |

Great info but was still hoping on finding the diamond foot files in Canada...I guess its a new * spam alert * of mine to find these diamond files (other than Diamancel - againg too pricey). In the meantime I shall use the handy tips and try one of the creams suggested. |

I'm not sure where you can buy the diamond files here in Canada as the only ones I found were on the net and were all very expensive. I just bought a knock off for $16 at the drug store. Probably not as good, but seems to do the job if coupled with a good cream and socks. |

I got my Diamancel buffers from Lux Beauty in Alberta. Their website is http://www.luxbeauty.com/
The website won't give you a price. You'll have to contact them but they are cheaper here in Canada than in the US. Then after buffing the calluses away, I use a cream with glycolic acid in it. It helps the deep "wrinkles" go away. |

Is the foot file you got a knock-off diamond type, or a regular foot file?
If its a knock off diamond one where did you get it from???
This is what I would like to find out - spending $16 versus $50 for the high end version will suit me just fine!!! |

roopdh - It was a diamond "type" but I can't remember if it was London Drugs or Shopper's Drug Mart. One of the two though. I do a lot of shopping at these two stores, so maybe try both if you have them in your area because I'm just not sure. I would think any large drugstore chain that carries high-end cosmetic and skin care would have something similar.
Good Luck! |

I bought a pair of gel lined booties from Shoppers Drug Mart & they work great! I walk around in them for about 45 minutes 3-4 times a week & they really keep my feet soft. They last about 3 months & can be washed. |

I just bought a great foot file from Tweezerman today and it was only $8 CAD at this local beauty supply shop. It's called a "Professional Foot Rasp". I used it this afternoon and I was really impressed with how great a job it did of getting the rough skin off my heels. It's on the Tweezerman website and it looks like you can order it online from them. |

Origins' Reinventing the Heel cream is doing wonders on mine. |
