I'm in love with a mouse ... a computer mouse! Oh my Gosh, I love this thing. If anyone is in the market for a new mouse, check it out. It's the Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse and it's amazing. I wanted something cordless with my new laptop and my SO suggested this one. I'm so happy with it. It scrolls like a dream, it has forward and backward buttons that are awesome when surfing the web and it's really, really pretty. OK, so I like really pretty things, but beyond it's looks ... it's really a great mouse. Maybe I'm so excited because my old one had a cord and no extra features. Or maybe I'm just a geek. |

With a MacbookPro and a cordless optical mouse, you must be in computer heaven Moonstarr I have a mini optical Benq mouse for my iBook but its pretty basic, so much so, that I rarely use it. I'm still using the regular mouse with my iMac...one of these days I'll splurge

Okay Geeks, I'll weigh in on this .
I too have a Logitech cordless mouse, and it's awesome!!
Mine has an optical scrolling ball that you operate with your thumb. My tendonitis flares up when I move a regular mouse around, and this mouse is stationary and has definitely solved that problem.
It is hard to get used to operating this type of mouse at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's really great, and cordless is the only way to go!

I do love my laptop, although I think I might have been one of the lucky ones ... apparently there are some people that are having issues with the new laptops: with excess heat, whining sounds, etc. I did get a 15.4" MBP first, but it did have the whiney sound (it wasn't super loud, but just kinda annoying), and then I thought ... maybe I should go for the 17" which didn't seem to have as many reported issues. So I returned it and got the 17" instead and I'm super happy I did!
BEE, I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves her Logitech cordless mouse ... it's a dream to use! |

Yes, I read some comments on the Apple discussion forum about heat and whirring fan noises, but the general concensus was that while some did have these issues, most of the people who posted didn't. Did you get the shiny screen or the matte one, black or white? I think I'm going to wait until next year before I get one as they usually outdo themselves with their Rev B's + Leopard should be out by then. Besides I just got the G5 iMac less than a year ago, so I really can't justify getting another one just yet

Yeah, that's what my SO said. You see all these complaints, but then you have to think ... what percentage are they out of all the people who have one and who have no problems. And if you buy one and it does have issues, take it back and return it for another.
I have the Macbook Pro, not the cool new little Macbook that comes in white or black (which when it came out I totally loved!! It looks so cool!). I wanted the bigger screen since it was going to be my only computer (I got the 17"). When I bought mine the matte screen was the only option ... it was just later that week they came out with the glossy or matte version. I think I prefer the matte though ... reduced glare, although the colours look really great on glossy screens (I haven't seen the MAC glossy screens though, so I'm talking about glossy screens in general).
If you wait a while they are supposed to be coming out with that new chip (Memron I think it is). And by then if there are any issues with heat, etc. (on the laptops) they hopefully will have worked on all those. |

I have a Logitec cordless mouse and keyboard. I LOVE them! I had to get cordless cuz I had a cat that liked to chew thru the cords.. ***It's amazing she lived, we saw where she had chewed on the power cord to the puter...*** |
