If you wear contacts, you should definetly be concerned, with the fungal infection that is going around. I think one of the symptoms is "a feeling of pressure on the eyeballs". I've been following this story closely since I wear contacts. |

Feeling stress on the eyes is a medical condition, def not a skincare issue, please see an eye dr. |

You're actual eyeball is shrinking? Occasional discomfort due to contact lense wear is normal especially if you have an astigmatism like me. Shrinking of the eyeball is definitely a bad thing. If you have pressure in your eye it could be glaucoma, which can be treated pretty easily nowadays (my dad has it, uses drops). I once had swollen corneas (which felt like pressure; caused blurriness) because not enough oxygen was getting into my eyes, and the dr just switched my brand of contact lenses. If you're really concerned and your vision is becoming impaired, you should see your optomologist.
BTW, it was Renu with moisture loc that caused the infections. My bf's cousin may have had it; he could have lost his vision-- the dr's called it an "agressive bacteria" that bascially ate away at his corneas. luckily they were able to treat it with antibiotics, but he still has stratches on the surface of his eyes. |

pressure can also be graves eye normaly one would have graves thyroid too. If your eyes also tear in sunlight and I don't mean a bit of tearing I mean pooring water, then def could be graves. And I must also ask and no offense ment, but I saw ur other post on cheeks falling or something like that, are these post for real (if so forgive me) but you seem to have some EXTREME problems that are not skin care related. |

yeah i can feel the difference...they r shrinking not much but i can feel thy r not properly adjusted on the eye area..which they were befor...and yeah i cant see properly in the sunlight i feel like closing my eyes...becz sunlight hurts and they started tearing... and when ever i wear thoe contacts for a long period say a whole day scratcehs started to appear with lots of pressue...so i usually avoid them now...what is graves?and what is extreme problems:cry: i take too much stress on even small matters...my skin condition might be a cause of too much weight loss within 6 months...and that weight loss is not due to any disease by becz of my too much dieting...i consult the eye specialist a couple of minths before but he said they r all fine except some fungal disease..and he gave me some medicine..i never noticed that eyeball shinking at that stage...what to do? |

Go back to the eye doctor. It could be that the medicine he gave you months ago didn't fully cure the problem, or there could be something else wrong.
Better yet--you should also go to your regular doctor and get a complete physical.
This board is great for advice, but it IS NOT an alternative to actually going to a doctor who can examine you in person.
I would feel a lot more comfortable if we stuck to discussing more superficial topics like pimples--that far too many of us have experience with, as opposed to potential medical issues like shrinking eyeballs and eye fungal infections that we really don't know enough about, and more importantly, can't actually see what you're talking about since we're not seeing you in person. |

anila after reading about your eye problems and weight loss I would strongly recommend that you see a doctor and get checked for hyperthyroidism. I would see a regular doctor about this and not just an eye doctor (although I actually think you should see both). When I had hyperthyroidism I too lost alot of weight and was dieting at the time so I just thought it was my diet. But it turns out that I had hyperthyroidism. I had Graves disease which is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism. Sometimes when you have Graves disease the eyes become involved. I fortunatly did not have any problems with my eyes.
Please see a doctor about this!!! Let us know how it turns out. |

I agree with everyone else - go see a doctor. This could be a serious problem. |
