Hi Everyone
Can you please share your results from Epidermx or any other home microdermabrasion?
I'm looking to smooth out some acne scars & mild pitting as well as softening some lines on my forehead. I not quite ready to have this done by a professional
I would love your help/suggestions |

Have you ever thought about using a peel? I love using the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. I've been using it for a month and some of my acne scars are almost completely gone. |

my results with Epidermx have been fantastic. I had lines on my forehead, post acne hyperpigmented marks and fairly pitted scarring. Now the lines have totally disappeared, so have the marks, and the pitted scarring is much much shallower. Mind you i also use Silkia camellia oil along with it.
i have had professional microderm which was fairly good but it didn't help my depressed scars. I've also used the L'Oreal microderm kit which didn't do half the job as Epidermx.
BTW i've also used the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel which I found to be too mild to be effective for me and i didn't see change in my pitting while using it. |

The Epidermx also makes my pale skin look more even-coloured and less blotchy. |

It did nothing for me. Total waste of $$$ |

when I used it my skin was clearer (no breakouts.. I used in conjunction with the clay cleansing bar, tea tree cleansing bar and derma butter), was soft and had a nice glow and my DH said the pores around the side of nose/edge of cheek got smaller.
in the end I got tired of the method and reverted to the RoC peel and am happy with it. |

I read an article on home mda kits and they are not good b/c a professional will have a machine that pulls any excess particles out of your pores should they get in. You don't do that at home so you run the risk of this stuff being left inside your pores. not good. So I use Origins Modern Friction dermabrasion made with rice starch, they do a great job and the particles are too big to get stuck in your pores. Plus the rice starch is natural and not made of Aluminum Oxide.
Peels are good as well. |

Surprisingly, I really liked modern friction. It definitely did not provide the same level of exfoliation as real MDA kits, but since I do so many peels I don't really need that extra scrubbing anyway. The smell was really refreshing, and it left my skin very smooth. |

I stop using Epidermx because I am tired of the method too. I may try ROC peel next if I can find it in Canada. |

The Epidermx was a memorable phase in my skincare for me. I got a lot of comments about my skin at the time. Afraid I never suffered from acne scars or pits though. I can only say it gave me much smoother and more even skin. I'd got for it. Never suffered from stuff getting stuck.
I'm looking for something like this myself with the same type of crystals which isn't such a fuss. I can't be bothered with all that balling up business especially in the winter in an unheated bathroom.
Does anyone know of anything similar that washes off? The Dr Brandt doesn't seem to get good reviews and it's a bit more expensive. |
