Hi all.
I went overseas not long ago and the zipper in my backpack came open and I lost my Colortrations concealer out of it.
BooHoo The best concealer I've ever tried.
So with the Aussie dollar as it is at the moment I'm hoping to buy within the country whenever possible. I've recently found out you can buy MAC makeup here, and I think I may have heard some good reviews about the concealer some time ago on another forum. That forum has gone to the crappers and not many of the old folk are still there, so I'm not even going to bother asking on it. Anyone think it's a good concealer, or have any ideas on any others? It needs to be able to cover bruises really well for when I get my fillers.
Thanks heaps. |

From the MAC concealers, I really liked the Moisturecover one. I haven't used it for quite some time but remember going through a few tubes of this. Also check out the Mirenesse concealer though - simply FABULOUS!!! Very light/thin liquid but covers well especially for dark circles. Not sure how the price compares to the MAC with the rather sad Au$ situation at the moment |

I have the select cover up concealer and I think it's a great concealer. The select cover up is creamy, so it's good for around the eyes. |

I tried the MAC cream-based concealer (not sure which one is it except it's in a little balm-like pot as the sales assistant put it on for me) and personally didn't like it as it feels rather cakey and heavy.
For me, apart from concealing well, the texture of the concealer is highly important as I used it for undereye circles. So I go for the light liquid/cream-to-powder feeling and my all-time favorite concealer brands are Prescriptives (the Traceless series), Chanel and Armani (yes sounds weird I know using a fashion/fragrance brand's makeup but hey the Second Skin Nude Makeup is worth a try indeed). |

Thanks Mabsy, Nimue and Samantha. I'll go into David Jones and try the MAC's then and see if there's any I like. I live alittle out of town so didn't want to go all the way to the closest David Jones for nothing. Seems like it should be worth the drive. And I'll keep the other recs written down aside.
Thanks again. |
