I have recently become on of the many people who have become addicted to the Dermalogica skincare line. The daily microfoliant does wonders for my skin (combination) and is so gentle and effective that it's a wonder everyone is not using it. Before, my skin was flaky and uneven, but this product exfoliates and softens my skin. A must try!![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I have combination skin and will use the daily micro every other day. I love the fact that it's not abrasive. It leaves my skin super soft! |

I have been using this because of the rave on this forum. Whenever I use it before a mask I can feel the mask sinks in much better. If I just use it alone after make-up removal I feel my face squeaky clean - and during dryer weather I may feel my skin a bit tight if I do not use a moisturiser.
Guess this is not for dryer skins. But definitely recommend it for other skin types. |

I use Dr Hauschka in the morning and dermalogica microexfoliation at night. It didn't give me dry skin nor breakouts, and my skin is sily smooth ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

That is wierd that it would dry out your skin. It is pretty gentle for an exfoliant I would say. I love this stuff..it is the only thing that has stayed in my collection throughout the years. My skin gets irritated so easily, and I don't have a problem using this every day or every second day. |

I'm really liking this product and have worked it into my skin care routine, using it just 2 or 3 times a week. No breakouts, redness, roughness or other surprises on my skin so far.
Using an aspirin mask a couple times a month but not sure if I need it now, with the salicylic acid in the Microfoliant. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

the description says it's enzyme based, but the first ingredient is "microcrystalline cellulose"... so is it both enzymatic exfoliation and manual exfoliation? |

This microfoliant is one of the my favourite cleanser. It's very gentle for my combination skin. I feel my skin fresh and smooth after using it, and easy to absorb the following skincare products. |

I really like Daily Microfolient and use it almost every day. I've reordered as soon as it runs out and been using it for a couple of years now. A little goes a long way. It's nice alone or mixed with other cleanser. I highly recommend it.
P.S., I was first turned on to it when I got a deluxe size sample in the mail. I've found a number of my favorite products from samples. So, attention companies: Samples, especially deluxe size, payoff! |

i just got some samples of this to try...
instructions say to make a paste and massage for ~1 minute. when i did this, it dried out pretty quick, and ultimately i was rubbing dry chunks of it off! after, my skin was extremely smooth but also dry/tight feeling & slightly irritated.
so, my question is: did i do this right, or should i keep it moist the whole time? |

Dagnolia, I would suggest using a little more water, mine is wet the whole time, and I think you actually want the enzymes in it to have enough water to dissolve.
I love the microfoliant as well, it's not harsh like a mechanical exfoliant. As far as I know it's not supposed to be a mechanical exfoliant, which is why I assume it should have more water. Correct me if I am wrong. ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

this is one of the few products that i use regularly and will re-order regularly.
i believe they have some microbeads (the microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium silicate) for manual exfoliation as well. |

well... i'm pretty sure the cellulose doesn't dissolve (it's what the wood in trees is made up of) so i think it's both mechanical & enzymatic. the nice part is it doesn't have that harsh, i've-just-gone-at-my-face-with-a-cheese-grater feel that so many mechanical exfoliants leave you with.
this morning i used it again with less powder and it dried up again, but since the dried-up layer wasn't as thick, the rubbing-off part was not irritating... and my skin was soooo smooth. lovely, really.
next time i'll try to keep it wet the whole time & see what happens. |

Hi, Dagnolia. Your face should be wet when you apply it. You'll have less-than-stellar results applying it to a dry face. Splash your face with warm water, then with wet fingertips, massage onto face.
P.S., I usually do it in the shower. |
