Hey Im am MALE anf wasjust wondering what you guys would suggest in doing in hope of demoloshing some of the flaws I have.
Im really eager to get rid of my freckles, I dont have a lot initally but some are quite obvious. I was just wondering if Micro-dermabrasion is the answer. I know that this proceedure helps to even out the pigment in your skin, but I was just wondering if it was the ideal way to get rid of freckles, If not, how could I go around this?
Also my skin-tone is rather milky, so I was considering airbrush tanning, as I have heard this is a more natural looking proceedure as opposed to just slapping on a bottle of fake tan!
Another main worry of mine is the dark circles under my eyes. My sleeping patterns are pretty messed up - but even when I am gettin enough sleep, they dont seem to fade. Im looking for like a cream or tablets or whatever substance I could buy to help get rid of these!
Well anyways hope you guys can help on my 3 main issues.
1. Freckles - Microdermabrasion?
2. Milky skin tone - airbrush tanning?
3. Dark circles under eyes - products?
Thanks in advance. |

I'm pretty new to the forum too, so my "resources" are limited. Anyway, about tanning, I personally find going in to tanning booth/bed works best for me for a quick and natural looking tan. I tried airbrushing, but they don't last as long or as natural looking at the effects I get from tanning beds. Hope this helps. |

I don't know a lot about fading freckles, but I do know that if you are trying to avoid getting any more, you should stay as far away from tanning beds as you can and invest in a good sunscreen. |

I use a fantastic facial tanning product, that gives a really natural look and is dead easy to apply. It's Liquid Bronze by Clarins. Just smooth some on and rub it in evenly, either with your fingers or with a cotton pad, and it develops over a number of hours. Nothing orangey or fake-looking, so no one will know you've used anything. The colour usually lasts 3 to 4 days on me.
But always remember to use it on your neck, too - you don't want your face to be darker than your neck. |

I use st tropez foaming mousse as a self-tanner and have heard that mean love to use this because it disappears on contact with the skin and is not a "Cream." It is also really easy to apply.
Do a search here or on Makeupalley.com--it is by far the best rated product line for tanning available--very natural looking. |

I don't know if microdermabrasion will get rid of your freckles. It may not go deep enough. One thing you can do is have them lasered. Ruby laser is good for this. A topical that works is 4% hydroquinone this is a script product.
On thing is certain, nothing will work or last if you don't protect yourself from the sun. The rays from the sun "feed" freckles. You need to use a good s/s every day, even cloudy days.
dark circles are caused by a variety of things. It is important to find out what is causing yours before you try to treat them. Successful treatment of this problem is quite limited no matter the cause. |

you know... i just remembered something the esthetician at the derm office told me. I remember she said that deep checmical peel can be used to get rid of freckles. so i think donnababe is correct that microderm might not be deep enough. |

Hi avalange,
I was wondering if the St. Tropez foaming mousse is the same as EDS's St.T instant self-tanning mousse.
I wasn't sure if this was the same product or not. If not, where did you get the foaming one? Thanks! |
