I am in-love with Rosie Jane's Appleblossom Lip Dew! Not only is it tasty, but it gives an amazing shine, without even a trace of stickiness. My hair isn't getting stuck to my lips! The other two flavors, Elderberry & Tara Tottergrass, are yummy too! |

Well your review got me to put this in my shopping wagon, and I'm very happy with it As you said, it tastes nice and sweet - NO stickiness and lovely shine/gloss. It moisturizes a bit aswell.
All in all I second Caspersmums rave for Apple Blossom Lip Dew |

I have been eyeing the Rosie cosmetics too, is the lipgloss similar to Jane Iredale? |

Can one of you comment on the colors of these? I don't usually look good in pinks, but the bronzy one looks a little too warm for me. I'm not sure how these colors appear on the lips because you can NEVER tell from the container! |

The Apple-Blossom gives a slight pink hew to my lips, I would not stretch to say that it's a "hot pink" like the product information says. My lips are pretty red anyways, don't know if that might make a difference in the appearance of pinkness... It's a good gloss!
haven't tried the bronze one... yet ...
Rosebud: can't answer that, never tried JI... |

I got the appleblossom one here from EDS and I can answer that I don't find Rosie Jane's to be similar to Jane Iredale's. Jane Iredale's coloured glosses have a lot more pigment and the texture is thicker, has a bit more body. Rosie Jane's is very thin in texture and almost oily-ish ... think MAC Lipgelees. I really liked the scent of Rosie Jane's (sweet and fruity) and really disliked the scent of Jane Iredale's (kind of bitter and plasticky). Jane Iredale's also dried my lips out a bit ... Rosie Jane's is more moisturizing and you get way more product in the tube. However, I still can't say that I am a huge fan of the Lip Dew, because it is so thin that it goes on clear ... I prefer glosses with a bit more body and less thin and less oily-ish texture and finish. |
