Ingredients: "water, lanolin, caprylic/ capric triglyceride, polydecene, titanium dioxide, hydrogenated microcrystalline wax, PEG-6 stearate, beeswax, microcrystalline wax, cetyl alcohol, ceteareth-12, avocado oil, lavender oil, alcohol, fragrance, linalool, camphor, menthol, acetic acid, jojoba oil, evening primrose oil, iron oxides, BHT, chlorhexidine digluconate, rosemary oil, limonene, coumarin, geraniol, tocopherol."
Note that the US Guinot website states one of the actives is hyaluronic acid but this is not listed on my European tube. Masque Essentiel is a non-drying 'clay' mask designed for dry and very dry skins, however I have been using it for many years on my congested, combination, sensitive skin and, more recently, over fine lines and a dermatitis rash! It is supposed to be tissued off after ten minutes but I have left it on for an hour with no adverse effects: due to the menthol and essential oils it smells lightly medicated, feels refreshing and seems to even out my skin tone. I also find the mask very hydrating, minimising large pores and plumping out wrinkles. Although the product is not drugstore cheap, a little really does go a long way.
Summary
Hydrating and calming: there is nothing I don't like about this mask! This is a holy grail product for me and I hope it will be for you too. |
