I have horrendously pale skin, and the Clarins Liquid Bronze is fantastic for me. Gives a lovely, natural colour that's not at all orangey. It's incredibly easy to apply too. I'd highly recommend it. Love it!
As for fake body tan, that's a tricky one. I haven't found the perfect one yet - if such a thing even exists. Different products seem to work very differently on different people.
If you want to try a gradual tan, Dove's pretty good and doesn't smell awful. I also really like Ambre Solaire's After-Sun that contains a little fake tan.
Otherwise, St Tropez's great - but smells not so good and stains your bedsheets and clothes, and can sometimes look too dark on pale skin. It also always goes streaky on my legs and wears off very patchily.
Piz Buin Spray is quick and easy to use. It smells the next day, but that wears off after a shower or two. But you have to be really careful about moisturising thoroughly beforehand - or it will go streaky. They do it in both Mid and Max colours, so you can choose a lighter or darker effect.
BTW, if your fake tan does go streaky on your legs (which mine usually does), you can always cover this up with a leg make-up product like Air Stocking or Sally Hansen. It doesn't give you a lasting fake tan, but looks great until you wash it off and covers any blemishes.
Whatever you choose, have a great holiday!
Oh, almost forgot! Be absolutely sure to exfoliate thoroughly and moisturise perfectly before fake tanning. Those are imperative. Also, applying in circular, rubbing motions seems to produce a more even effect. |

I use coppertone oil-free sunless in light-medium and mix with aloe vera gel 100% so I don't get any streaks. The color is pretty nice when diluted. |

I like st.tropez. It dosen't look orangey so that counts big. Plus, I can see where I put it on. Just remember to use gloves or something. I forgot and my whole inside hand turned on me. |

munya - Let us know what you think of the Clarins. Everyone I know who's tried it so far, loves it. Hope you do too!
Wendy - Please give us a review of the Aquatan when you've had the chance to try it. I'm a bit of a fake tan junkie and am always on the lookout for great new products. |
