Awhile back I stumbled across the thread in the EDS Lounge where Candy was choosing a name for her company and became intrigued by the products she was cooking up on her own...particularly the Encore hand cream, which Ruth flat-out said was the best she'd ever tried. So, after PM-ing Candy for details, I placed my first Candessence order...and am I ever glad that I did. These products are fantastic! Excellent quality, reasonable price and the way they smell...be forewarned that you will have the strong desire to eat them! 
So, here is the rundown of what I got this time out:
Brown Sugar Body Scrub - I am a big brown sugar fan, and this is to die for! Along with the sugar, there is oatmeal and honey, so it smells heavenly! Between the exfoliating of the sugar/oatmeal and the moisturizing effect of the wonderful oils in this product, my skin felt softer than it ever has. We're already hitting 105 degree temps here in AZ, so this product will be a necessity to keep me from getting the dreaded "lizard skin" on my legs and arms!
Body Polish - This is also an excellent scrub...white sugar based, and more of a buttery lotion like consistency. My polish smelled like peaches, but I believe she can "flavor" the scrub however you prefer. I used this one for a hand treatment that Candy recommended: Exfoliate hands with sugar scrub of your choice, rinse and pat dry, slather hands in body butter (more about that next!) and put on gloves overnight. I woke up with healed and beautiful hands...cuticles were getting nasty, and this repaired them overnight!
Chocolate Body Butter - Ever since ManslayerLiz got me started on the Ganache for Lips, I have been searching for another holy grail chocolate-scented product. Found it! This stuff smells so authentic, my husband walked into the room after I put it on and claimed, "It smells like a bakery in here!" The butter is super-moisturizing, and the scent really lasts. She has all kinds of flavors, and I plan to try peach and lemmon souffle next!
Peach Bath Bombs - Like the butters, the scent of this product is so authentic you won't believe it. A hugely relaxing and moisturizing bath treat!
Encore Hand Lotion - Others have beat me to it with raves on this product, so I'll just chime in and say I agree with Ruth that this is the best hand treatment I've ever used! It totally moisturizes without the greasy feel of a lot of creams, and I love the scent...very light, sort of sugary smell that isn't too strong or sweet. I have a travel size container in my purse right now, and I'll never be without it!
So, as you can tell, I am a happy customer! I will not only be repurchasing for myself, but for friends and family as gifts (the body-butter tins are so cute!). Thanks, Candy, for creating such great products and making them available to all of us!

Don't know if I should or shouldn't tell you I have several other Chocolate based scents...?

You're welcome for the compliments...they are sincere. If I was less than thrilled, I just wouldn't say anything...but when I find products I love, I have to share!
You have more chocolate based scents? I'm in trouble...

Mary H. I totally agree with you!! Candy's products are so amazing and really do smell authentic! What's more...She has a HUGE list of scents to choose from for all of her products, it's sooo cool, you can pick whatever scent(s) you want! And the handcream is very hydrating and nongreasy. Alot of creams say that when they aren't - this one is the real deal. What impresses me most is that 8 hours later, my hands still look great when most lotions seem to disappear.
Ladies, you would not believe how many unique and amazing products our clever Candy has come up with. I am glad the secret is out and she finally gets to share with us!

I know what you mean about the giant list of scents...there is a page on her website (which I was dying to post here, but didn't want to chance violating any rules) that shows all of them! I was amazed at the variety...it will be fun working my way though the list!

Encore Handcream and FudgeBrownie Body Butter are the best moisturizers my hands and body has had the pleasures of getting. Fenomenal moisture long lasting smoothness!!! I can't quite get over how much I love these products... 
I wish I had a bathtub so I could try some of the bath stuff!!! |

I totally agree, Ruth...everyone should have easy access to these wonderful products! Thanks so much for posting the site...you've been around EDS longer than I have, so you've got a better handle on what's okay to post than I do. Glad it's out there for all to see!

These delightful little tarts are becoming one of my most requested. Two of these dropped into a hot bath melt and release yummy butters, oatmeal and oils to soften and sooth your skin. Smell SO good, I keep some on my desk just to enjoy the aroma!"

These bath melts sound so tempting! I love LUSH's bath melts so you can be sure I will be trying out some of these in the future as well!

| So, just to give you guys a little background info, I LOVE chocolate-scented products. Love them. Ganache for Lips Mocha lip balm is my HG lip balm, and Dessert Beauty's Dreamy fragrance is my HG perfume. That being said, a lot of the chocolate-scented products on the market today are just waaaay too overpowering for me. Aquolina's Chocolate perfume gives me the mother of all headaches, and Jaqua's Chocolate Marshmallow Body Butter smell so sickenly sweet, it almost makes me feel ill. So, when I heard the raves for the CandEssence products, I was VERY curious to find out which category they fell into. Well, I shouldn't have worried because the chocolate body butter is AMAZING!!! The smell is light and soooo yummy--- lucky for me Candy can add the chocolate fragrance to most of her products, so I will be able to enjoy all kinds of goodies with this addictive scent. Personally, I think it smells like fudge brownie batter, but my husband says it smells like chocolate chip cookies (and he loves it!). I can't wait to try more of Candy's chocolate products!!! |

Good point. I can only think of the melts, lotion bars (would be a lotion soup, lol) & possibly the body butter would be an issue of melting more than spoiling. |

Shipping will be a bit more than normal, but I can safely ship (no melting) & you can receive package in 4-6 days!

Wow,
the body cleansing cream and those bath melts sound great--I'll definitely order some as soon as I get where I'm going for the summer (L.A.--ughhh!, monday). it must feel great to have created products that everyone can love so easily!
