Does anyone have one of these mattresses?
Like? Dislike?
There seems to be several styles, but the price goes up tremendously from the origional. I'd just like to hear any reviews. I think a queen origional is $1200 + Box Spring. They also have a moveable one--whichI heard is good for other bedroom activities!
ALso, is there a website where you can get them cheaper--everything I've found is a knock off. That or a good coupon/rebate/free pillows (even those at $150 EACH!)
Thanks! |

I own a tempur-pedic. It's a very nice mattress, but not perfect.
It is very comfortable, the foam really does mold around your body and cradle you. You really do toss and turn way less, sleep more deeply and wake more comfortably.
The downside is that the foam can also hold heat, and while it isn't noticable all the time, there are times when the effect is a little like having an oven baking away underneath you! (This may have something to do with my stage of life which regrettably includes hot flashes.) My back does still ache in the morning, but not to the degree that it hurt before this mattress.
The return policy is great. We had 90 days to decide if we wanted to keep the mattress--we've got the plain jane queen sized one, no bells and whistles! You pay shipping to return the mattress, which as I recall would have run me about $140, if I had decided to take that route.
I've never seen them cheaper anywhere....your price is actually about a hundred less than we paid. |

I appreciate the response!
I've been doing some more reading on it and I think we may go with a Simmons Beautrest of sorts--good for couples. Price will be the same, but I'm just not convinced of the Tempur-Pedic. I guess we should go lay on a few! |

I looked into buying one about 8 years ago and decided against it because you could not use an electric blanket with it. Where I live you need one in the winter. They spend a lot on junk mailings. I just received another advert. in the mail from them yesterday...it's really annoying.
I ended up buying a regular mattress then went to Wal-Mart/Costco and got a thick foam mattress topper....LOVE it and saved $$$$ |

I'm really interested in the Sleep Number bed. Has anyone looked into or used that one? The commercials always make me want to run out and buy one. I keep meaning to stop by one of their mall stores. |

i totally would get one, and when i'm done all my schoolin' and have a "real" job that's one of the first things i want to get.
reight now i have a matress pad of the stuff and just that alone has done wonders for my back.
after hearing me rave about it, my mom bought a two inch mattress pad for my parents bed and she's sleeping through the night for the first time in YEARS (my dad is a very restless sleeper) she didn't realise how much of her lack of sleep was due to him until they got it.
so if that's just the PAD, imagine what a whole matress of the stuff would be like.
on the other hand my sister can't stand them because she feels "trapped" by them. that little bit of sinking in totally drives her crazy. |

We have a pure latex mattress and latex pillows. It is like sleeping on air. I had a broken back many years ago from barefoot skiing and spent a good deal of my life going from mattress to mattress until I found the latex. Pretty expensive but worth every cent. |
