My skin: dry, acne-prone (jawline).
Active ingredients:
Avobenzone 3.5%
Mexoryl XL 3% & Mexoryl SX 1.5%
Octocrylene 7%
I have quite dry skin, so I like to use a day cream with an spf. So far, this is working for me. I've used jojoba oil the night before, and applied this in the morning and had compliments on my skin, e.g. SA in Kiehls was hesitant to give me a vitamin c serum becuase he couldn't 'see one line on my face' ( I know, I know). Give me the vitamin c serum so I can keep it that way! But still, it was a nice compliment considering I have dry skin that will accentuate the fine lines. My fine lines are absolutely caused by dehyration, so obtaning healthy, hydrated skin is my goal.
It is a chemical sunscreen, but it has both of the Mexoryl's in and stabilized Avobenzone. I do reapply around mid-day, just to make sure. It has an official PPD of 18, which is quite good for a day cream with spf 15.
Ideally, I use it with a vitmain c serum underneath to soak up any free radicals that could *potentially* be caused by the ss actives- we all know there are concerns, so I want to be on the safe side
All in all, this has become my daily-staple and it is resonably priced. I pick it up in boots for £16. Proof that expensive cosmetics aren't necessarily better. I was using Murad's Sheer Lustre Day Cream spf 15 (around £50) but that has unstable ss actives in! |
