I don't see a difference after I click that, so I'm not sure how to use it. I thought it might be useful to use when I want to see what has new posts.
Does anyone use this?
Thanks, Michele |

I was just about to give you an explanation when I suddenly realised that my explanation would have been incorrect. So now, I am with you and also wonder what is is used for. |

When you log in and have a look at a part of the forum, the new threads that you have not read appear in pink, ones you have read since logging in (and previous to logging in) appear in yellow. Once you click the "mark all topics as read" all of them appear as yellow.

Mabsy, I have never seen that color difference in the threads I've read. Does it have something to do with settings somewhere, like in my Profile maybe? I use the blue colorscheme, BTW, if that makes a difference. I would love to be able to tell if I already read a thread! |

No no, this should be standard for everyone. If you click on the Lounge (for example) right now you will get a list of topics - they will be in blue based on your colour scheme. On the very left of the topic title there is a little folder icon - this is blue for sticky notes (if they have been read), yellow for threads you have read and pink for threads yet unread. If you have clicked the "mark all read" link already they they will all be yellow at the moment (sticky posts will be blue) until someone posts something new, which is when they will become pink until you click on them.
Are you seeing this? Have you got your images switched on in your browser? HTH |

Oh thank so much! Now I get it. I thought the text inself was a different color. And I think I thought the color of the little folder meant something else. So it does work and I checked it for Firefox and Internet Explorer and it works for both. So now I can look at posts even more frothily.
Thanks, Michele |
