I'm looking for a natural and pure skin lightener/brightener, but all the ones I've found have Kojic Acid and I want to find one without it. Because I have very sensitive skin and heard it can be irritating or cause reactions to those with sensitive skin.
So far I just have the homemade vitamin c serum, but I need something stronger then that. I bought some Licorice Root Extract Tincture from Whole Foods. It has a tiny bit of alcohol but not much. Can I use this? What would I add it too and how much to make a serum? I know that Licorice is a popular ingredient in many lightening serums, but I don't know how much of it they use, what %. Thanks. |

How sensitive is your skin? Mine is pretty sensitive but I'm using a lightener with Kojic acid without any irritation. |

Thanks, but I'd just rather avoid it anyways. There are so many alternatives and different ingredients that do the same thing as it, so I don't see why it's necc. to use. My skin is so sensitive it can't even handle salicylic acid, or most acids. |
