Mole Removal

Hi

I am 23, male, fair skinned i would say, bit pale actually on my body, my face is fair, i seem to get moles quite easy, dr said they look fine, no problems at all, and they all look fine, small, flat, normal moles.

I would like to remove some of them, like i have 2 on my face, and 3 on my neck, and some on my arms, would like to remove as many as i can, for confidence reasons.

I dont want them burnt off with with nitrogen (had that before, ouch! lol!) and i dont want them cut out.

What can i use guys? Whats this copper idea? Money is not an object.

i was wondering what they would use to remove them myself. I've had what my mother calls a "beauty mark" on my left cheek since I was a little girl. It's light brown and though it bothered me years ago I don't notice it much. I also wonder if I did remove mine would there be an indentation? Hopefully someone has possibly removed some on here and could give some feedback.

There are 2 methods dermatologists use to remove moles:

Freezing - they "freeze" the mole - it puffs up and drops of in scales.

Razor - they literally slice the mole off your face.

My mother got hers freezed (basically numb it up) and then they cut it off. Just go to your general doctor, its an in office procedure. Honestly, my mother said it didn't hurt at all. She said piece of cake. Very Happy

Also, it only costs about 40 dollars.

I had one removed from my shoulder. The dermatologist gave it a shot of novocaine and then removed it with a scalpel. I didn't feel a thing. I had to keep a bandage with polysporin on it for about ten days. I couldn't tell you where it was because there is no visible scar. If you a self-conscious about them, then have them removed.

You can't freeze or cut out flat moles. They are like dark freckles, imagine cutting out freckles? You'd have to dig into the skin and cut out a deep crater.

For flat moles I think the best option is probably laser to lighten the pigment of them like they do for freckles and tatoos etc.

I don't know if it works on flat moles though, or if anyone here has tried it on flat moles. I have a hard time seeing how a 2-3% Salicylic acid product would have any effect on moles, seems too weak. I would be careful though about trying it on your face. Find one on your body that is usually covered by clothes and see what it does, if it works and if it leaves a scar. I have a lot of flat dark freckle like moles, and I plan on trying it soon, just a little nervous I guess.

Yes, im nervous to, to be honest.

Its not just one, or two, i have moles all over my body, but they are seriously all over the place over my neck, it doesnt look very nice at all, really want to remove as many as possible, or do what i can to them basically.

Sorry, missed the flat part. Confused

I have a flat like one on my face, its barely raised. I burnt it off when I used nair.(It on the corner of my mouth) Unfortunately I did not know you should not be using nair when you are using retin-A, and I was on Obagi. Ooops. It came back but it sure isn't as dark or as big. Actually, sometimes I kinda miss it. It gave me character. Very Happy

I don't know about that product. I haven't tried anything like that but it says it uses cauterization to burn off the mole. I don't see what is in it that does that, but cauterization can possibly burn your normal tissue as well. I would go with something that works with your immune system to get rid of it rather then burning them off.

You said money is no object for it, so in that case I would look into Laser surgery with a Ruby Laser. It only effects the pigment and works by breaking up the pigment into smaller bits so the immune system can get rid of it from the body. I've seen photos and it looks pretty impressive, esp. for tatoos, no visible scars. It works better for light skin I've read.

I plan on looking into it when I have more cash.

The only other at home option I've read about is Edgar Cayce's method. It involves just castor oil and baking soda. I don't know how it works, or if it works, but supposedly you scratch the area with a needle or something and apply a mixture of castor oil and baking soda daily. Im still confused, has anyone actually brought a product, tried it, and its worked successfully? If so, what was it?

Hi Matt,

My Derm removed my facial mole with a laser. No pain at all, he numbed the area with a shot and then lazerd the sucker off. I didn't need to take anything for pane and I don't have a scar. My insurance covered most of it, I only paid 70 out of pocket.

I know this is a late reply to your question, but you might try a mixture of castor oil and baking soda. I know it sounds odd, but these ingredients, mixed to a gum-like consistency, were recommended by Edgar Cayce for mole removal. I used castor oil alone to remove a flat brown spot from the back of my hand with great success. Spot had been there for over 15 years and I had tried other methods, but after applying the castor oil 2 or 3 times day for about a month, the spot is gone. Really works.

Beign honest, i have about.. hmm

...50 moles (all flat) that i want to remove, or at least shrink.

So, i buy caster oil (i have no idea what this is yet lol), and literally put it on the actual moles, 3 times a day for around a month?

How big was the flat mole you removed, as in, can you think about the size and tell me?

My biggest is about, hmm

, 3 mili meters, so very small.
