So I've been trying some new products, but only for a week.
I'm curious...how long do you wait until you decide on a product, good or bad?
Inquiring minds want to know! |

I try to wait at least 2 weeks....sometimes I'll review earlier and then I get a nasty breakout from the product. |

Usually a few weeks for me but skincare is a very big scary land for me because I am sensitive and can break out easily.
So, w/a new cleanser, I can tell within a few days (shouldn't be purging because I exfoliate regularly, use retin-A, etc.). Had a lot of bad experiences so am very careful w/foundations/cleansers now. |

If I find a great (or crummy ) lipstick or mascara, I'll post about it the next day, skincare I'll wait a few days to see if does anything weird. |

If it is an everyday product then a week would be long enough to give an initial review (how it feels going on, how the skin feels hours later, any breakouts or dehydration, etc.) You could then follow-up with a review on the effectiveness of the product after 5 or 6 weeks. |

same...makeup is pretty easy to tell....eye and lip colours especially. Foundations and powders are a bit difficult to tell. |

I agree with Tiger Tim. But if it is terrible, then I'll review right away because sometimes I can't wait a week as I won't use the product anymore!
I also check on EDS to see if anyone else has reveiewed a product. If I agree with the post then I don't 'redo' a review. |

2 weeks, long enough, IMO, to see if it breaks me out (cysts take abt 2 weeks to form) and to see its efficacy. |

I usually wait 2-3 weeks, unless I am reviewing from a sample, and then I do the review once I have used up the entire sample.
If it is a product that takes longer to see significant results, I will update the review after using it for 60 days.
