It's fine over the little bumps you're talking about, but if you have broken skin anywhere, it burns...a lot. I think it smells kind of sweet, but not like you'd want to eat it. |

I received my order yesterday which had my full size jb apple peel - I agree it smells funky, I expected it to smell more yummy from what I read on EDS. But I think it's normal considering all the AHAs in it. It DOES have a slight smell of apple in it, makes me think more of sour apple than green apple
Anyways, I had acne and bumps and I used it on top of my whole face (I got the full strength). I even had scabs - it was perfectly fine. I felt VERY slight stinging on some of my spots (because they were a bit open - not exactly an open wound but it wasn't healed yet but the scab came off), but it was very slight. I left it on for approx 15 min, after I rinsed I did not get red like some of the other members did except on my forehead which was slightly red (my forehead doesn't have acne). But after a few minutes the redness went away.

How does this mask compare to the aspirin mask? It seems like they serve similar functions?
Sometimes the aspirin mask irritates my skin... I think I was doing too much to my skin though. |

Yeah, the asprin mask is exfoliating. I tried it once and it made my skin very smooth. I did a mixture of asprin, tea tree oil and water. It made me sneezy though. Manslayerliz recommended that I use some honey in it to bind the mixture better but I haven't tried that combo yet.
I get the stinging and the redness whenever I use the JB Green Apple Peel. Other people don't feel a thing. It all depends on the person and everyone is different. As long as you see a difference in the morning, that's all that matters. |

I don't have very dull skin so I can't say whether I saw visible results after the first use. And I forgot to check whether my pores got smaller after I rinsed - I put my decleor balm on right after. |

I didn't notice an immediate difference right after the peel but the next morning...wow! My skin texture was better, better clarity, smoother, etc. My makeup looked so much better too. |

I agree with Yen. This is also what I feel every time I use the JB APPLE PEEL. I get just slight tingling when I put it on. The PUMPKIN ENZYME PEEL is more strong for me. Out of the 2, I think I like JB better. Also, the degree of tingling differs every time I use an enzyme peel. Anyone else has the same experience? |

The tingling is different each time for me too. I think it depends on what my routine has been that day. |

I hear so many good reports here on this JB green apple peel that I'm thinking of trying it.
Does anyone know the AHA content/percentage? I checked the JB website and couldn't see it there. |

Yes, I would like to know the % also. I wonder if someone who can tolerate very high glycolic acid would even benefit from this JB peel. Does anyone know? |

This is what I've noticed for me ... with the JB Green Apple, if I put only a thin coat on my skin hardly tingles at all, but if I put a thicker layer .. I get more tingles.
I just tried the PSF Pumpkin Enzyme Peel this past week and it definitely tingled alot on me! Infact, I took it off after only 3 minutes because I was sure my face was going to be a big red blotchy mess! But, surprisingly, my face looked fine and just nice and glowy. I think next time I'll leave it on for the 5 minutes and see how that works.
I'm not sure yet at this point which I like better. I think I like the feel of the JB peel more, but I'll have to wait to decide which I feel is more effective for me. |

I e-mailed Juice Beauty about the AHA content and this is the reply:
"The Sensitive is 8 – 10 % AHA and the Full Strength is 13 – 15% AHA." |

I have a little sample of the non-sensitive. I have very sensitive skin, but that's all they had at Sears and I wanted to try it
I can put it on my upper lip and middle of forehead (where some scars are), but I tried to smear it over my chin just to see and it BURNED and ITCHED so badly I had to rinse it off. I don't quite understand why it doesn't do that to my upper lip/middle forehead as well, but....oh well. Maybe i'll try the sensitive one and see if that helps.
I feel a very slight tingling (I leave it on for 15 min) and redness afterwards that usually goes away within the hour. |

I just tried the regular apple peel yesterday for the first time. I left it on for 15 minutes, and only had a slight tingling sensation, and no redness afterwards. I really thought I would, since so many people say they experience that using this mask. I only put on a thin layer, so maybe that's why. I also avoided applying it to my chin because last year I broke out with a terrible cold sore in that area after using a glycolic peel. One member told me that products high in AHA can cause such outbreaks, so now I'm really careful with what I apply around my chin & lips. |

Yeah, I think the thickness you put on does affect how much you "tingle". I couldn't figure out why the first time I used it I felt really tingly and had red blotches (that went away in about 30 minutes) and the next time it was hardly nothing. But then I realized that the second time I'd just put a thin layer over my face ... so from then on I started to use a thicker layer and I get more of the tingling again. |

Thanks Moonstarr. I'll try it thicker next time, but I'm kinda glad I didn't go too overboard with it the first time. (That's so unlike me!) |
