Hi,

I am obsessed to find a eye GEL lately, went to Sephora yesterday. The SA recommended Fresh's lotus eye gel, I don't usually like fresh cause I think their products are seriously overpriced, but this eye gel has been all WIPED out clean, out of stock in store, even the tester is gone. So I went to NM and try some on my eyes (no samples to give either). It felt reallly good !!

The ingredient looks good too ( I am a bigfan of anything from the sea)
Sea Water (maris Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/capric/succinic Triglyceride, Simmondsia Chinensis (jojoba) Seed Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Coffea Arabica (coffee) Extract, Vitis Vinifera (grape) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Cucumis Sativus (cucumber) Fruit Extract, Porphyrydium Cruentum Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (matricaria) Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) Seed Oil, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance (parfum), Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 20, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben

"Lotus Eye Gel is a revitalizing fluid formula that alleviates puffiness, dark circles and signs of fatigue with a unique combination of highly-developed and preventive botanicals.
anti-inflammatory lotus instantly penetrates to deflate puffiness and tone eye area
green coffee extract and ginko biloba stimulate circulation, decongest puffiness and prevent accumulation of toxins
soothing cucumber extract and porphyridium cruentum, the concentrated micro-sea algae first used by Fresh, revive tired eyes
green tea and grapeseed polyphenols defend against aging free radicals
15ml/0.5 fl oz
$45.00 "

Anyone used this before ?? Is it really THAT good ? comments ?

D Very Happy

It sounds nice! I haven't tried it though - Fresh is not available in Aus, which is probably a good thing! Laughing The only thing I have tried from Fresh were some of their perfumes and I wasn't overly impressed.

You'll have to let us know how you go with it if you end up bying it.

Is there anything specific that you want from an eye gel? I am not really a big user of eye gels (prefer creams or cream/gels) but there have been a few that were pretty good. Babor Sensational Eyes Gel is very nice (and has funky little colorful spheres with vitamins and liposomes in it that break on contact), Guinot Anti-Fatigue eye gel was very good although I hated the container, Clarins Eye Gel is good too (the green one with caffeine in it), as is the Cellcosmet one (I'm about to start using that one actually). I hated The Body Shop Eye Gel and am not a big fan of the Clinique or La Prairie one either Confused

Hi Mabsy (the Queen of eye cream),

I want a tightening/lifting eye gel, I don't usually feel an eye gel is enough for me either, but the fresh lotus eye is actually more like a gel-cream, I tested it at NM. I am not a big fan of Fresh, the only thing I actually like is the Rose Petal Mask, it melts right on my face and it smells nice.

All your trusted recommendations will probably get me busy hopping around getting samples Shhh Thanks !

....but sea water in eye gel is really tempting....ugh ! will definitely let you know if (I mean WHEN) I buy it

You don't have Sephora in Aus ? can you order from their website ?

Nope, no Sephora in Australia Sad Thoughtcrime is my "Sephora link" though whenever I "need" something from there that I can't get elsewhere online. The Rose Petal Mask sounds divine - mention anything with rose in it and I want to try it! Rolling Eyes

I think you should try the Clarins gel and see what you think. It's been a while since I have used it so I can't remember exactly but I think it was tightening. It should be quite easy to get a sample of it as well, Clarins are usually pretty good with their samples. If I think of any others I'll let you know Wink

Hi Mabsy,

Tried it again at Sephora, not so impressive the second time, so I will have to pass on this one. I will stick with my Darphin Wink

But do try the rose mask if you can your hands on it.

I love to use eye gel in the morning and then eye cream & treatment at night. And fromt hose who read my earlier posts, I suffer from dark under eye circles.

You have striked my interest in the Fresh Lotus eye gel!!! I may have to try it when I run out.

Right now, I am using DDF Soothing Eye Gel every morning. It is very refreshing and gentle. HAs yet to cure my dark circles, but I have come ot the conclusion these are allergy related.

At night I have been using Burt's Bees Royal Jelly eye cream followed by PTR Under Eye Brightner with kojoic acid. This combination is not bad. I think that my regular white skin under the eye has gotten clearer and brighter. But is hasn't made much difference in my darkness. Half a jar to go.......

The absolute best eye treatment I have ever found was Phytomer Lift Contour Eye Emlusion. It is a cream gel that worked really well, It is $$$ but well worth the money.

Take Care!!! Wink

I know this is a fairly old post but rather than start a new thread, I'll just add to this one.
I've been using this for awhile now and I will not repurchase.

It doesn't do much of anything. Yes it feels nice and cool, absorbs well but as for results, I didn't see anything. No lightening of dark circles. Though it may work for someone else.

It might help a bit with puffiness, but I think it's only due to the cool nature of the gel...you could get that by putting your regular eye gel in the fridge.

Anyway, for the price (it's now 48 bucks, fresh just increased their prices a few months ago) I'd pursue something else...and I am. I'm just trying to use up the last bit of it so it doesn't go to waste.

ON SECOND THOUGHT...

If anyone is dying to try this (diderot?)...I would be happy to send them what I have left (there is about a third left I'd guess in the bottle..less than half, more than a quarter) so you can give it a try. A little goes a long way.

PM me if you are interested.

what's the difference between using an eye gel and a cream besides a gel feeling less nourishing?

i used a gel as a teen, but now won't touch it cause i feel i need more.

I have a full size of Fresh Lotus Eye gel and it's really good for my morning puffiness and lightly moisturizing for daytime use. It's light and gel like so I don't think it could cause milia. I find myself using it more in the summertime for that reason. I don't have a problem with dark circles so I don't know how great it would be for that. As far as gel eye treaments go, I have to say this one is my favorite just because it is more moisturizing than many gels and seems to de-puff my eyes faster.
