What you y'all recommend in terms of cleansers and toners for oily/combo skin?

I'm in the US so some of the product lines on EDS are not shipped to the States...but I'm sure I could track it down from another site <gasp!> but I'd prefer to purchase it all from EDS (though for great skin I'll spread my orders to other sites if need be!)

The stuff I'm using now, while it doesn't make me break out, is too gentle for use in the summer months down here in the desert. I'll go back to this in the winter, when it's super dry (we are in monsoon season now) but for now I need something that packs a bit more of a punch with my oilies.

I'm planning on buying the Decleor Ylang Ylang oil (I think, I might try a different brand) soon and would like to throw a wonderful toner and cleanser into the shopping cart with it. Should I order Decleor too? Or are there better things out there?

Thanks so much!!!

xoxo Paris

Paris, do you have acne-prone skin? I have oily acne-prone skin. Currently, I'm using a combination of Serious Skin Care (Continuously Clear) and Cellex-C (High Potency Serum and Sea Silk Moisturizer). The Serious Skin Care helps with the acne and the Cellex-C helps with the anti-aging and oil control (Sea Silk Moisturizer).

The Serious Skin Care line is available throughwww.hsn.com andwww.seriousskincare.com.

Cellex-C is available through EDS.

I love the Decleor Cleansing Milk and their Floral Water toner is wonderful! I believe they make other cleansers that are good as well.

Yes, my skin is prone to breakouts...though not like it used to. Instead of a plethora of whiteheads, now I'll get maybe one or two, but the majority of my breakouts are the red bumpy kind (hope that makes sense!)

Hi there

I'm new to this site but couldn't help commenting on this. I always used to cleanse and tone until I started using Eve Lom's cleanser (I have a very oily t zone but other areas can be quite dry). Its absolutely amazing! I follow that with Dr Sebagh's repair serum rather than a toner (although you don't need to use anything after). My skin has never looked so good! Very Happy

I live in the desert and yes we are in monsoon season too. I have oily/acne prone/ sensitive skin and a few cleansers I can recommend are Cellcosmet Purifying Gel and Jurlique Ultra Sensitive Foaming Cleanser (both sold by EDS). The Puritfying Gel thoroughly cleanses without overdrying. While the Jurlique is a little drying but might be okay to use during monsoon season. You could try a cleansing oil as a first cleansing step in the evening. I currently use Kanebo and like that. I think that EDS sells a Decleor cleansing oil and a Dermalogica one which is called Precleanse. You can't get this on EDS but the Yonka Cream Cleanser is my morning cleanser of choice right now. I didn't know if I would like this since I have oily skin but it does a great job of cleansing and leaves my skin so soft feeling.

I don't have experience with Decleor so maybe someone else can make suggestions from that line. I generally don't use toners and can't really give any suggestions. However, I should be getting the Cellcosmet Active Tonic toner anyday now and will report back on that. HTH

TheresaL...we had great rainstorms here in the SW yesterday! Wonderful lightning!

Anyway, I just ordered YonKa gel cleanser from a different website (since EDS doesn't ship it to the US) after reading tons of reviews on several sites raving about it. I'll give that a try.

I'm think, after searching for reviews here, of buying Dr. Hs cleansing cream along with Decleor ylang ylang oil.

I've never done so much research for skin care!!!!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

I've only been here a few days and I you all already!

xoxo
Paris

Paris -where I live we had a BIG storm on July 4th, right around the time the fireworks were to start. Oh well, we had the lightning instead. Laughing I am always impressed by the lightning that we have in the desert!

The Yonka Gel cleanser is actually on my list of products to try but I am trying to resist buying it because I have way too many cleansers now. Be sure to report back after you have tried it.

I really like the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel ... it takes off all the makeup and it doesn't try out my face. Although some have reported it is drying, so I may change my mind come winter when it gets more dry outside. I think this one is great for combo/oily skin though (I consider myself combo).

I don't usually use toner myself every day, although I do have a travel size of the Dermalogica toner which seems pretty good.
