So I've been using Jergens Natural Glow off and on recently and though I was initially impressed, my opinion has changed.
Problems:
1. When I look at myself in the mirror recently, I notice my face looks somehow... dirty. It's not tan, it's not "glowy," it almost looks like I just haven't washed up in a few days.
2. I've been breaking out. And since my zits have been under control lately and I haven't changed anything else in my habits, I have to assume the Jergens is responsible.
I guess I'm not a success story with self-tanners. I think I'm going to stay away from them from now on...guess I'll just deal with being pale. |

Hi,
I think you should try another brand. I have noticed that some brands work with your skin tone so much better than others. I have dark hair and light skin and I find only St Tropaz works for me. Most look too orange on my skin. When I tan I just go darker not golden. It sounds like you need a more golden one to match how your skin naturally tans. Check this link it may give you some ideas as to what will work for you

Don't give up though. Once I found the right colour I couldn't live without it now! |

My favorite for color right now, in the way of gradual tanners, is still Loreal Sublime Glow. The only thing I'm not a fan of are the little diamond like sparkles it leaves behind, although they can only be seen in direct sunlight, not indoors. It's becuase of this that I don't feel comfortable using it on my face, so now I'm looking for a good face tanner. My Neostrata works great, but since it has a guide it looks too muddy for day-time use.
I recommend trying a few others as well. Aveeno is supposedly a great one too. |

I am not a fan of self-tanners either. They start off fine, but do seem to lose their glow after a couple days.
I am simply going "pale" this summer. So far it's not too bad.
