It occurred to me that my loyalty to Orlane is based on it being my first successful skincare experience. (You never forget your first love, right?) However, being the nature girl that I am, I'm nervous about putting a lot of man-made chemicals on my face. Decleor is more natural, but which one actually makes my skin look and feel better?
I performed a five-day test: I know this wasn't exactly scientific, but I applied Orlane on one side of my face and Decleor on the other. That way I could make a fair comparison.
I quickly discovered that Orlane's moisturizers feel luxurious at first, but after a few minutes my skin felt kind of heavy and congested compared to the Decleor side. Also, Orlane has always clogged my pores just a little. The Decleor side didn't get a single whitehead, and made the blackheads on that side of my nose almost disappear. As for visuals, they were equal. Both sides had the same healthy glow, and fine lines on both sides were equally plumped up. (Except for the eye gel/cream. Orlane's was far superior to Decleor's)
If anyone's interested, these were the products I used:
ORLANE: Vitalizing Cleanser, Anagese Total Time Fighting Care (day), Oligo Vit-A-Min Smoothing Cream (night), Oligo Cooling Balm Eye Contour
DECLEOR: Foaming Cleanser, Neroli Oil, Hydra Floral Cream (day), Angelique Balm (night), Hydrafloral Eye Gel |

Thanks for posting. Now I know to stick to my first love DECLEOR. |
