I got this from EDS for my mum seeing as she has a constant redness to her skin from sun damage. While I was in Oz I tried it for a few nights.
Texture & feel: This is a thick cream that can also be used as a mask. It had a grainy feel to it when applying and I did not find it very moisturizing, in fact it felt a bit drying (mind you my skin was very dehydrated at the time).
Fragrance: The smell, well, it was quite strong.. even my mother noticed it as I walked around the room. But it was pleasant enough, very strong rosemary overtone to it, so if you are not into woody or herby smells then you are sure not going to like this.
Result: I found that my skin did not have any reddish tinge to it when I woke up each morning, which is a good thing of course and I would like to try it again during summer when my skin is not so dehydrated(intend to try it again for a few nights when I go back to Australia). I will also update at some point in the future on its use as a mask (I think I would prefer using this on an as-needed basis as a mask, rather than each night).
Packaging and price: Comes in a 40ml plastic tube; CA$61 on EDS

Ingredients: Water, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Hazel Seed Oil, Glycerin, PEG-33 Castor Oil, Propylene Glycol, Sclerotium Gum, Lavender Oil, Geranium Flower Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil, Cypress Oil, Thyme Oil, Borneal, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Triethanolamie, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid.
Company spiel: For nighttime use. The prefect antidote to reduce diffused redness due to fragile capillaries and a disturbed circulation. This synergistic formula rich in hazelnut and decongestive essential oils tones down instantly the reddening while strengthening the tissues to prevent further breakage. Helps to tone down visible redness and promote skin colour uniformity, imparts freshness to warm and/or flushed complexions and maintains an even tone.

tiger tim, dosen't this smell like vapor rub to you? You know, the kind you put on your kids chest when they can't breath to clear out their sinuses? My husband gets so put off by the smell. I find it kind of yuck, and kind or refreshing. |

OMG, yes, come to think of it, that is kind of what it smells like. I think my mum smelled the cyprus most as when I put it on she was like "do I smell disinfectant". Like I said, you really need to be into that kind of fragrance to like it. Thinking back, it is the cyprus smell that is stronger than the rosemary. |
