Have you ever tried mama lotion (made from mandelic acid)? You can dab a bit with a q-tip on scars and it does actually help slowly reduce them. I have been working on a spot for months and it has gone down considerably. It is a type of exfoliate in the peel range of Glycolics or AHA's, but gentler on darker or sensitive skin. It is more easily tolerated for some types of skin that don't respond to other types of acids, such as women of color whose skin could suffer pigment discoloration from regular acids. Having sensitive skin, I love it. |
