Have any of u notice that ur skintone varies under different lighting? For example, after I brushed my powder foundation on in the washroom, it looks kinda dewy and glowy. But when I go under fluorescent light, I look so pale that I look kinda ashy...

And those brightening effect makeup base doesn't seem to work on me at all...it claims to provide a glowing brightening effect but I still look dull... Crying or Very sad I'm using Laneige Star white UV base...anyone try their stuff b4?

Different lighting definitely makes your skintone look different. Natural light is best, incandescent I'm ok with. Fluoroescent light is the worst. i've heard to stay away from using highlighters that give you a dewy look as under fluorescent light they look garish. Best to stick to pinky blushes.

Yes, I know what you mean. In my makeup mirror at home I look dewy/glowy but at work I look like a greasy mess! Shock And my coloring is different in various lights. Sometimes my brown eyeshadow looks grey in certain lights. I hate that. My favorite lighting is in my bf's bath. I always look like I have flawless skin/makeup!

So if that's the case, where should I apply my makeup? and what's consider my makeup is perfectly done since the color seems to look different everywhere? What's the most perfect natural looking blush for fair dull looking skin?

Try to apply your makeup in a room that is well lit with sunlight - this is problably the safest place to get it right. Smile

I wound up buying the wrong colors for years because I didn't double check colors in good/bright sunlight - never again. A makeup artist also told me that to make 100% sure that a color is right you need to wear it for a day so you can see any oxidation or other color changes that can occur as the product interacts with your skin.

I notice the placement of the light in a room also makes a huge difference. My house has 3 bathrooms, and my skin looks different in each one, depending not only the type of light (only 1 has a window) but also where it's coming from.
