Hi everyone,
Does anyone have experience with the japanese line kanebo? I tried their silk peeling powder a few months ago and loved how soft my skin felt...sort of like a mini microderm. I'm currently using obagi products, so i don't want to stop that, but feel silly b/c last night i posted my first topic about how i felt obagi may have stopped working for me after 4 weeks....well, i woke up this morning and i'm back in the game...face is peeling...etc. Anyways, i'm just interested if anyone has used kanebo products and what they think. thanx |

I have tried Kanebo creams and they are great for making your skin super soft. The emulsions 11 and 111 was lovely and though expensive it contained 100ml so lasted ages. Thats the only one I tried as Japanese products are costly here. |

Hey, has anyone tried the Kanebo concealer? I wanted to try that one. I could only find it online at Bliss Spa, but I don't know which color to get, the light or medium. They don't even have an image of what the color differences look like. |

I currently use several Kanebo products and have sampled several others. I have very sensitive/oily/dehydrated/acne prone skin. Here are my impressions:
Silk Peeling Powder-I really like this too and find it to be great for my sensitive skin.
Cleansing Oil-Nice texture, thoroughly removes makeup, sunscreen, etc.
Creamy Soap-I really liked how this cleanser left my skin feeling clean but not overdried. However, it does irritate my sensitive skin and I could not get it to work even a few times a week.
Lotion II-I am not sure on this one. I do like the texture and find it appropriate for my skin type but it may irritate my skin.
Emulsion I-I live in the desert and can only use this during our monsoon season when the humidity is up, otherwise it is not enough moisture for me. It leaves your skin a little sticky if you apply too much. I am starting to like this more and more though.
Emulsion II-I prefer the texture of this to the Emulsion I and it is a great moisturizer. I haven't been using this because the second ingredient is squalane and I am trying to determine if that ingredient causes breakouts for me. I hope not because I really like this.
City Day Defense Emulsion-This is very similar to the Emulsion II and I love it. I only tried a sample of this one but hope that my skin can tolerate the squalane because it is so much better than my current sunscreen (Olay Complete SPF 15).
Eye Contour Balm-I like this and it does do a good job of keeping my fine lines from showing but I still prefer the Cellcosmet Eye Cream. the Balm also has a lot of silicones which I am not a big fan of. I may want to try the Eye Cream and see if I like that better but the Cellcosmet is IMO on it's way to HG status!
Sundestressor for Body, Firming Formula SPF 30-I only tried a sample of this but liked the texture, it protected well and it has a lovely scent!
Quick Hair Conditioner-This was great at keeping frizzy hair under control without weighing it down or making it feel coated.
I have about 5 more Kanebo samples that I will be trying. When I first started to use the brand I was not very impressed but the more I use it the more I like it. |

leslieg--i do love kanebo, especially their sunscreen, the sun proguard 50+ PA+++. kanebo is so much more affordable on ebay where the american market hasn't marked them up like a million percent. i am sure i have tried a few other products a few years ago, but can't recall. |
