So, as I was debating which mineral foundation to purchase next (Jane Iredale, Pure Luxe, etc, etc) I had run out of my Bare Escentuals. Knowing that I'd rather not use one of my many liquids and risk bad skin, I was literally wiping the last bit from the pot today to cover some blemish scars.
I happened to be in the drugstore for something and thought "People on EDS mentioned that the Physician's Formula mineral foundation is pretty decent..." and found myself over in the cosmetics isle.
Well, $10 later, I am FLOORED by how great this stuff is! It's 10x better than the Bare Escentuals. No weird glimmery shine, no semi-greased feeling. It's literally like Photoshop-ing your imperfections away with the blur tool. I think I might go get the Transluscent Medium and blend it with the Light to make a perfect match to my skin... and have a year's worth of product to boot.

I totally agree! I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and really like the look of it on my skin. Like you say, "no weird glimmery shine" like the BE. And of course, the price is excellent!
However, I caved in & purchased some Amazing Cosmetics foundation on my last order. I'm very interested in seeing the difference between the two. |

I really wish this had worked for me because I think it had a really nice finish. But it made my skin get all itchy and rashy (which has never happened before) so I had to return it.  |

| I bought the liquid one during the winter, and it worked very well for me. it has a thick consistency and covers very well. right now I use it as a concealer as oppose to full face foundation since it is too thick for the summer time. |

Mica, Zinc Oxide, Zinc Sterate, Boron Nitride, Lauroyl, Lysine, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylparaben, Prophylparaben, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides. |

I'm using the lightest shade  It's very pale, I just don't like the slightly pinky white tone to it. I have extremely pale skin, but, it's very yellow toned. I often compensate with drugstore brands by mixing with the next shade down, which is usually less of a pink/porcelain. |

I have the Translucent Light Loose Powder and love this stuff, it is fantastic as a concealer and foundation.
My MIL uses the Liquid in Brightening Beige and uses that over her Chanel foundation. |

| Tried this too...YES loved the coverage when I first applied. Went on nice and covered well. Half way through the day thou, for me...many oil slicks that felt very sticky. I could not wait to get home and clean my face. Never really clogged my pores, felt heavy and like I said when my skin became greasy, boy was it sticky. I appreciated it did not contain Bismouth Oxy, but does contain mica...I think that is a problem for my skin. |

| I liked this but found it to accentuate fine lines on my forehead I never new I had! I used it before I knew to use a primer though, so that might be part of the problem. I haven't seen the lines since then,but I have been using a primer with my mmu. |

I have very fair skin (most brands don't go quite light enough) and wear the loose mineral wear powder and it looks very natural on my complexion. I love the stuff.
I really hated their pressed powder version, however. The kaolin in it really dried out my face and the colors were not fair enough. |

32, Fair Skin, combo/break-out prone. Simple routine of REN No. 1 Purity Cleansing Balm and Argan oil as a moisturizer; Clarisonic when needed. That's it! |

Skincare Addict,
I use Monistat Chafing gel as my primer, and I find it really helps mineral makeup from sinking into my 'fine lines'/pores. Actually after posting in this thread, I tried using the leftover Phys Formula mmu with primer and didn't have the fine lines problem I had before. I just let my moisturizer sink in, apply the primer, wait about a minute and then apply mmu. The Monistat also falls into the category of "cheap and good", for me! |

Don't mean to put a damper on the party  , but I read in an article that PF only does a top layer sprinkling of the minerals, and that they're not found throughout the product. I thought that was a bummer and decided to pass on it! |

I read this for their pressed compact mineral foundation...
Don't know about the loose powder formula... |

| Hi there! I also have been on a mission to find the perfect mineral foundation. I'm stuck with "Face" brand due to the spf 30. I have big problems with sun block so I find it so practical to have the titanium dioxide on this formula. Although I am not thrilled with the coverage (not enough), and as you know you cannot apply it heavily otherwise it will sit on lines, wrinkles, etc,. If anyone knows of any other brand with spf 30, please let me know |
