I'm 26, and I have the most impossible complexion! oily, large pores, prone to breakouts that can last for weeks. This is bad, as I have an olive complexion, and healed pimples will leave a dark spot for a long time. for years I tried everything on the market, and not just acne control products. I have really been into Neutrogena, their products seem to be the only type that don't cause breakouts. Recently, Neutrogena has come out with this incredible mask/cleanser, in their "Clear Pore" line. I call it "toohpaste for your face", beacause it's thick and very white, like toohpaste! It smells so clean and fresh, and the product has a refreshing (but not stinging) tingle. As a mask, it is intensive, and effective. I noticed not only did the pimples I had go away flawlessly, but I just don't break out anymore! It does not contain salicylic acid, which can be drying, and dulling to the complexion. As a cleanser it really shines, beacause it foams into a rich lather scrubs deep into your skin, leaving it luminous and fresh.
I recommend this product for anyone who is tired of spending alot of money on two seperate products, and can't find anything that doesn't aggravate your complexion anyway! The scent is just intoxicating. It's like the Noxema used to make you feel. Go out and get it! You will be very pleased, and hooked! |

I used to like Neutrogena when I was in Hong Kong, it's a drugstore brand there, but it's of fairly high quality .. but I am not sure if it's b/c of different manufacturers here and there .. those Neutrogena products I bought here in the US seemed not the same as what I used to have (maybe my skin keeps changing over yrs ) .. Neutrogena skincare here is much more less expensive than in HK..that I dont really understand, and Neutrogena cosmetics are not yet available in HK.... that I am curious too .. Idont know why they have decided not to lauch the cosmetics line in HK .. .. coz it should be one of the most popular brands for the HK population.. anyway, but I agree with you, Neutrogena is by far the only skincare line that didnt break me out, I could actually finish the whole bottle (which I seldom could, I always shift to another line w/o finishing the previous ones) .. .. maybe I am still in a search for the right thing for myself.. but I am always tempted to go back to Neutrogena!! |

Wow!!! That sounds great!! I am very prone to breakouts too. Everything makes me breakout. I have just recently started using Lush products and they have seemed to help a bit but I still get some. I may just have to try Neutrogena. Can you use the cleaner/mask everyday? I'll have to look for this next time I am at the mall. |

Hi, Robin:
I dont use mask everyday, maybe once or twice a week, and it depends on the texture and the function of the mask, I wont use the clay mask (uaually the deep cleansing mask) too often coz it would be too drying for me, but for the hydration mask, I use it more frequently, however, I do use the cleanser everyday to remove the surface oil and dirt, etc. .
I have to say that the quality of Neutrogena in the US is not as good as I have been experienced before (when I was in HK).. .. Like I said, I doubt if the different manufacturers or what have made a difference, anyway . .. just to remind you that you may want to test the products first to see if you have any reactions to them.. I personally feel that the Neutrogena products here are too strong for me .. but it may work for your skin type~
Wish you luck for the search! |

I love Neutrogena, but I'm on holidays at home with the family and the range of Neutrogena in Australia is SO limited compared to the States, HK, Singapore and a few of the other SEA countries I've lived in!

I'd like to try this too (mainly due to the fact that you said it has a refreshing tingle to it ). But, yes, alas the range of Neutrogena in Australia well and trully sucks! It's not even a matter of the new stuff getting released here late - a LOT of the Neutrogena range just never makes it to Australia. That goes for other stuff too like Oil of Olay, Biore etc etc *sigh* I want to go shopping at Watson's!! Or a US KMart or QVC! |
