I have noticed that in the last 48 hours or so I am not getting notifications for a LOT of topics I am watching and also PMs.
I do get a few trickle through, but certainly not everything.. I would say maybe 40% of messages and PMs.
Anyone else having a problem?
Oh for the record, I am still watching them all when I checked the "watched topics" and my ID still says to send out notifications... |

Tiger_tim, I am the same. Most of my watched topics are not giving me notifications. I have had a couple in the last couple of days but 90% are missing. |

Same here..it's been going on for a while with me..I sometimes fall onto a topic I was supposedly watching (it read stop watching topic) at the bottom but I never got notifications. I had to click stop watching..and reclick watch topic...in order to get notifications. But, clicking on watched topics still works. |

I think I'm having a different prob: I've got at least four dozens "watched topic" and "new PM" notifications in the past week or two, but only about 2% of them actually have any posts in the threads since sometime last year!! |

I don't use watched topics so I'm not sure but I have reported the problem so hopefully things will just magically right themselves |

This happened to me today too. I got a topic reply and then when I clicked on the link it said "that topic does not exist". I knew the topic existed because it was the very first review on ISC that Katee did. I seached and found the topic and the last reply was in July of 2005! Weird! Something is amiss! |

My situation with watched topics is worse now, I am not getting any at all. I was receiving a couple but it has all dried up. Damm nuisance as I have to go through every thread as I don't want to miss responses to some threads I have elected to watch. Love EDS so will be patient and hope they can fix it. |

This is going to sound sad... but because I like to weed out spam and duplicate posts I try to read every new post. So I just use the "new posts since you last logged in" (or whatever) and go through that from oldest to newest... |

Nah, that makes you THOROUGH Mabsy!!
Bushy, YEP, me too. Now I get NO notifications for posts or PMs. It is not a problem at the moment as I am on here a few times a day for a squizz, but if I was off for a week, it would be HELL! |

What, in the name of all that's holy, is a "squizz"??? |

squizz = a look
oh dear, I showed off my Australianess there for a moment. Most people here dont pick up on it till I say "ta" - that is one Aussie word that has not left my vocabulary even after all these years. |

Well, I checked all of my "watched topics" again this morning and I received them all, so the glitch must only be happening to some of the members as mine is still working fine! |

It seems to be the same for me sometimes. I get some notifications on my watched topics and other times I don't. I don't seem to have a problem with my PM's though. |

I am not sure if this has something to do with the bug in watched topics, but for the last few days I have noticed that the whole EDS website is slow, I mean really slow to load pages. I have a broadband connection and this does not happen on other web pages, only EDS? |

I am having no trouble once on the site, but now I get no mails at all - not even for PMs |

I just got emails for PMs from you.
If you do have another email address would you mind testing something for me? Just change it to another one in your profile and see if that works? I'm not sure what is going on but everything seems to be working for me. |

My bad! If you are experiencing problems with email notifications please DO NOT change your email address! I didn't realise that we now do activation links following profile changes. Poor tiger_tim followed my advice and didn't end up receiving the activation link via email and now can't log in. We're working to fix this up - sorry guys (and especially tiger_tim! ). |

tiger tim I know what you're going through...last week I changed my email address & then wasn't able to log in. I went into absolute panic mode!! I emailed EDS, & they got back to me shortly. I don't know if they then did something to my account, or it was my constant bashing on the keyboard, but something got me back in!
We anxiously await your return! |

I'm not receiving notifications of current watched topics - BUT - I am getting them dated back from January! Just got a bunch more now from February! |
