Would there be any purpose to using both of these? Or do you just use one at a time? Do they both basically do the same thing?\
Thanks |

Active serum is the exfoliant-AHA & BHA. Poly-vit., I was told, is to be used when you want to skin your skin a break from using active serum every night. Since I didn't at the time feel I need to spend so much just to give my skin a break I never bothered with it...until I got a sample. I like how it feels & how my skin looks plumped afterwards. This does not contain exfoliants but plenty of vits & anti-oxidants. Depending on what you're looking for..I don't know if it's a necessary addition but I like alternating evenings with active & poly-vit & topping both off with firming cream -although lately a pricey valmont sample is replaceing firming cream. Since the valmont is $$$ I'll stick to firming cream. |

Thanks Marina
you finally made this make sense to me, so its actually in your a opinon a good thing to add. I'll take plumping anyday!!! But why can't you use it with the active at nite instead of alternating? Just curious if one cancells the other?
thanks

Poly-Vitamin Serum (1 oz.) IS Clinical
All Skin Types
This intensive, reparative serum formulated with glycolic and lactic acids helps encourage the skin's renewal process while adding valuable hydration. It also promotes tissue repair and increases circulation of the skin. Loaded with Vitamins A, B3, B5, and E -- as well as green tea extract and hylauronic acid -- it delivers vital nutrition to the skin. Great for smokers and to treat eczema. May produce a temporary flushing effect. For best results, use with Hydra-Cool Serum.
O.K. This description fro skinterra is new-I swear-but the glycolic & lactic acids are really low on the ingedient list so it dosen't exfoliate like active.
As to your question, I don't really know except that I've heard (including from a really nice lady at EDS) that if start layering serums, you're actually cancelling out any good each would do. It's best to use one serum with actives and then apply a simple moisturizer. Certainly all the queries I've posted on skinterra & other sites about IS they never recommended I use both. Besides, the poly can cause temporary flushing so you wouldn't want to apply that over the BHA & AHAs. The flushing may not be temporary. |

On the poly-vitamin serum box it says not to use it with other actives because it contains actives. (gylcolic acid & lactic acid) I think that is the reason why they say don't use both at once.
But I have used both on the same night. (Katee uses both the active serum and firming complex together).
The Poly-vit does cause a bit of flushing (b/c of the leve of vit B3 in it) just like oral vit B3 cause skin flushing as well. The flushing goes away though and would never be permanent.
Using both did not seem 'too much' for my skin and I like that the Poly-vit has all of those extra vitamins in it. |

great info thanks, I also use the active and the firming with zero problems. I might try using the active wait 20 mins add the poly. Of course I need to purchase the poly first lmao. |

I started using the poly vit instead of super in the morning and WOW I love this!!!! It does cause flushing, but my skin is loving this. It is def strong, I can truely feel this on my face, but its not a bad feeling, just a this is working feeling. Since I've had the week off, worrying about flushing hasnt been an issue, I might flip this to night and alternate with the active for the next few nites. |
